Time to check Gators' guts

Florida senior center Mike Degory has pretty much seen it all in his five years with the Gators.

Steve Spurrier suddenly resigned his true freshman season. Ron Zook spent three embattled seasons trying to keep Spurrier's old job only to get fired. Urban Meyer was brought in to return the program to the glory years.

If anyone knows that now is not the time to panic -- after Saturday's 31-3 loss at Alabama -- it's Degory. He also realizes this is the time when teams are challenged and how they answer will be a key to the rest of the year.
