Fellow Finfans! I very rarely take the time to vent...but for what it's worth...

1. It is time to clean house! I am sick and tired of our goof-ball owner doing a half-a$$ job and sweeping things under the rug...then hoping the dirt won't be seen later! Firing Ireland was the right thing to do...but that wasn't enough! Ross has loss this once proud franchise's integrity. Remember the Don Shula days? Remember when we always griped about losing in the playoffs yet Shoes kept us "in it..it seemed like every year" Remember how proud and the integrity the franchise had in the "good ol' days?"

2. Fire Philbin! He is a lousy head coach and is completely out of touch with HIS lockerroom. The whole scandle thing with Incognito and Martin happened because there was no expectations in place and no inspection of those expectations. Philbin and HIS staff are to blame...plan and simple.

3. Sell the damn team! Sell it to the people (like Green Bay) or to at least an owner who has the balls to do the right thing! Sell it to someone who is about winning...doing it the right way...instead of this Hollywood-showmen sh$# the we have in place now. Sell it to someone who will bring back the old ways...the old 70 or 80's uniforms and the integrity that they represented.

In short, some of you may disagree with this venting...and that's ok...if you do, I have to ask ONE question...Do you remember when someone mentioned the Miami Dolphins your attention immediately perked because that name represented integrity and winning?....I do!

Sorry.....I fully understand your frustration, but I don't agree with blowing this up from where we sit today and starting all over again.

This organization needs some stability, not constant upheaval. We have a new OC, new GM, will shortly have a new OL coach and some key positions that need to be filled. Your theory is based on us firing everyone and hoping that we get it right next time. There is no gaurantee that any of that happens.

And yes, I can remember many times when the Phins organization meant integrity and winning. Based on your 1971 date, I have you beat by a few years......

How did that stability deal work with Ireland and Sparano?

I've seen more from Philbin's teams in the last 2 years vs. good football teams to give him a chance to prove his 3 year plan. Ask yourself this, when was the last season we beat all 4 of the AFC playoff teams we played? When was the last time we could say "yeah, we didn't play the team that won the Super Bowl this year (Seattle) but we played them last year and beat them, and we played last year's Super Bowl Champions (Baltimore) this year and lost in the closing minutes of that one with a realistic chance to win."

I'm not interested in being 10-6 as a Schottenheimer (SP?), Wahnstead (SP?) or Parcells way, where we look great during the regular season only to be clobbered in the playoffs. I am interested in building a team that can compete with the best and challenge for a Super Bowl down the road ... and Philbin's teams have been better against the good teams than any Dolphin coach in recent memory. THAT'S worth a 3rd year in my book. Another 8-8 season and sure, clean wipe, but he's earned a 3rd season.

Can nobody use an existing thread? Good lord

Bring back the 70s/80s uniforms.... Yep that'll happen lol as well as the new logo we just designed is gonna get booted for the rough around the edges 70s logo

Not well. The Steelers prove that limiting turnover is a viable strategy. A more important question is why it did not work with Ireland and Sparano. Ireland had contentious relations with Sparano and Philbin. A bad apple ruins any viable strategy.

This is not just about beating good teams...some of the time...what about losing to lousy teams in the clutch? What about the lousy OL play under a a Head Coach who was to suppose to "know OL play"...this team is mediocre because that is what is acceptable...instead of teasing and sending OLinemen blow-up dolls maybe more attention should have been made to fixing this fiasco bunch of middle school Offensive Linemen! This team has no substance and no direction in my opinion...and in short...are an embarrassment. BTW: I have no dog in this Incognito/Martin thing...personally IMO if Philbin had any backbone...he will cut both of them and fire Turner...which has yet to do.

It's against the league rules for a community to own a team now, Green Bay is grandfathered in that why there are still owned that way

I didn't think it worked very well for them. However, there are lots of examples where it has and with constant turnover, you also have constant changing philosophies which require changes in players to fit schemes and it just keeps churning. Lets give the coach and new gm a bit of time to get this sorted out. Philbin is 15 - 17 in his first two years. The team showed modest improvement in its record this year. You only have to look at Pete Carroll in Seattle to see that after two years, he was 14 - 18 and folks were getting worried. Their patience and stability paid off.

another thread for me to state the same thing in the other thread. swell.
