this guy needs to be put on the field. cant be much worse at this point than either of our safeties. no better way to learn than to be put in the game. if saban liked him that much to take him early in the draft, he should be in there. hopefully hes a playmaker

It can get alot worse if Allen blows a coverage. We'll give up perhaps a big score and will destroy the kids confidence. I'd rather have the guy ready to play than just throw him in.

You mean like how Hill blew the coverage on the Heath Miller TD?

ya i agree, it would force him to step up and be a playmaker. he's not an old man getting into a warm bath. Hes a pro football player. Time to earn his stripes and our saftey postion sucks. At least this kid has talent

J.Allen isnt going to be all that at the moment. he doesnt even sound confident in his interviews. I guarantee that when Saban said that guys dont get it ...but try hard... Allen was in that category.

Sooner or later he's going to have to get in there either to poor play from another safety or injurys. We had Whitner and Simpson playing in the game for 3 quarters. The rookies got to get there feet wet sooner or later, but in our case it was alot sooner than we expected. Our rookies did perform will I must admit, Whitner had 8 tackles and a int and Simpson had 7 tackles and a few pass breakups.

Correctomundo.
Something i dont EVER want to see again!

I don't think throwing the rook in with a secondary that is already having problems is the answer right now. I don't see him contributing until sometime around or after the bye week. I think the secondary will play much better once Daniels returns to the line up.

:( I really wanted Simpson

J.Allens holdout has seriously effected his ability to get upto speed mentaly with the team. One would think rookies coming out of the draft would pay attention. But there will be more disappointments from hold outs. a 16th pick holding out till the end... Good Grief!

When your opponents best receiver is a TE (Ben Watson), you can get away with playing two rookies at safety. With the speed of Lee Evans and Peerless Price, I don't think Saban is going to throw Allen out there when he's still not sure which coverage to call out. Allen will get his head on straight eventually... hopefully, it will be sooner rather then later but this week, Ronnie Brown will have a big game and everybody (especially the homers) will be talking about him and will forget about Jason Allen.

p.s. What's up with the London Fletcher-Baker cr@p? Did he just find out who his real father is or did he get married and take HER name? To me, he's still London Fletcher and I'm still starting him in my IDP league.:dolphins:

Hill was good in run support, Tillman is solid. I say put in Allen and Hill in running situations and Tillman and Bell in passing. rotate them all

I wouldn't throw Allen out there to the Wolves I think thaat would be a disaster for this guy. Bring him along slowly and let him get some confidence...we are talking about a kid here.

True... but in all fairnes... our defensive schemes are alot more complicated than yours...
