Ok call out very bold predictions before the combine begins (of a serious nature, MR. irrelevant as #1 is not the bold I am after). Take into account people you think will jump or fall based on your gut instinct for our first 3 picks. Argue if you must, but i prefer this to be a bold prediction "safe zone" thread so to speak. Just predict boldly and don't call anyone out for their bold predictions. This is meant as a fun, light hearted, semi serious researched thread.

1)Branden Albert (yeah its bold, deal with it, that is what this thread is about, Al G. is in his ear also on this one. Played both LT and LG dominantly well. Think an athletic Jake Long and his potential is exposed)
2a)Chris Williams (Cromartie, small school or not, makes first round. We pick up a versatile top O-Line prospect that has played both LT and LG)
2b)Ahtyba Rubin (gut call, another bold prediction, but very underrated)

1st 2 rounds: LT check, LG check, Carey as All Pro RT check, NT check, incredibly young and talented line check. Then look for an TE steal in the 3rd (John Carlson will have a sub par combine and fall to here) and a WR or a CB in the 4th.

Again you can change your opinion after the combine, but go off your hunch or gut in this "safe zone" thread

my prediction
We will beef up both lines (O and D)
-probably with a DE or DT in the 1st (long or dorsey)
--the other that we dont get in the first will be a FA or later in the draft
-OT is a must (preferably OT in the 2nd or third) (Otah, Williams, Collins, Nicks, cherlius, Richardson)
-OG in FA like Titans Jacob Bell
The line are set now and we will go to the skill positions
-WR is a Must in FA and Draft.
--I'd say bryant Johnson in FA and i'd love James hardy in the 2nd or we could go with a late draft pick like monk
-RB is already set.
-QB is set with beck, have to give him a full year to see what we got. Back up QB in FA or Late Late in the draft (volek)
-CB and S either through draft or FA, preferably FA S (hamlin maybe) and draft a 2nd -3rd round CB
DEFINATELY a LB in FA AND in draft. I'd like to get jonathan goff in the 4th and some depth in FA and maybe even late in draft (cant have too many LB in a 3-4 scheme)

That should cover our main holes

So here is ONE of my mocks:
FA: WR Bryant Johnson; OG Jacob Bell; Billy Volek; LB depth
1 Chris Long DE
2 James Hardy WR (If Cromartie fall we take him here and take Earl Bennett or AdariumBowman in the 3rd)
2 Anthony Collins OT(many possibilities here for OT)
3 Dwight Lowery CB (many possibilities here for CB)
4 Jonathan Goff MLB
6 Depth at D-line or LB core
7 Jack Ikegwuonu Cb- hurt himself during senior bowl camp, was 2nd round talent, and will miss the 08 season but it is a low risk high reward type of player. i think he will turn out to become a good corner in the NFL once he recovers.

Beef up lines is a must...

B.Volek would start over Beck from start to finish..
