JT will always be one of my favorite Fins, but the fact is that he has lost more than a step. Porter is also a former shadow of himself in every respect except his trash talking, which makes a loss sting even more.

Coaches have worked on getting younger in the secondary, but we definitely need an infusion of youth and strong talent in the LB core. In a 3-4, your LB's have to be able to provide pressure and cover, something our two most experienced defensive players really can't do much of anymore.

We need serious help in the offseason.......

You do realize that JT leads the team with 5 sacks and 2 FFs? That's on pace for a 10 sack season. I'll take it.

LMAO @ People who still defend that goon Joey Porter. Did he play today?

I mean, I heard him...but I damn sure didn't see him.

Sorry, not buying into that. Taylor's problem has more to do with consistency. He is simply unable to produce at a high level every week. A couple of good games a season isn't enough. I would not expect him to be on the roster next year.

Porter hasn't produced much of anything but trash talking this season, and the trash talking is getting old. Trash talking should be outlawed by the league unless your team has a winning record :p

A 10 sack season is not good enough? Demarcus Ware's stats mirror JTs. JT is not what he used to be but is still effective.

someone needs to tell Porter that you actually have to be able to produce if your going to continue talking ****.

i am sorry but why would we get rid of jason taylor ? hes on a very cheap contract with us i think he signed a 1 year deal ... people act like we have pro bowlers on our whole roster.... you have tom brady and his coach saying oh jt scares us to death etc while some fans wanna get rid of him?

porter on the other hand i understand its obvious hes not the same player

we are gonna keep JT i can almost see that happening cuz he loves miami ...and porter i can see him easily being replaced by wake.

you know what, we need porter and taylor as much as we need will allen, as much as we needed pennington last year, as much as we need fergy, are d is very young and if you want them to develop the right way just as pennington has done with henne, just as allen had started to do with are 2 rooks, fergy is doing with soliai, we need taylor and porter to help develop wake, to develop the LB that everyone hopes we draft next year. the fact is we cant go throwing away all are vets just because they "lost a step or two".
i do agree though, the trash talking has got to stop, we need to start cutting the PT and giving it to are younger guys, and maybe even a pay cut is in order for Peezy.

Don't group Taylor in with porter.

I agree. Taylor is coming close to the QB and is pressuring him consistently.

Porter on the other hand doesn't look like he will get the QB if you gave him 10 seconds. He just seems to dance with whoever is blocking him and makes no real attempt to get to the QB. The only time he came near the QB in the last game was when Brady rolled out of the pocket. Then the blocker wasn't between him and the QB and he hit his arm as he threw. Other than that, he did nothing.

Wake came in for two plays in the first half and sacked Brady on one and hit Brady on the other. I would like to see him more, but I don't think they will replace Porter just because...well the coaching staff doesn't have the balls to do it...
