With all the high hopes flushed down the toilet with todays loss, It's time to REBUILD. With coaching that wins in colege but not in the NFL, a potential playoff teams playoff future vanishing it's time to change. It's time to get rid of most of the coaching staff and build a young team. I live in Denver when every season is a winning season. It's tough to be a fin fan in Denver. IT'S TIME TO CHANGE AND SHOW WHY I AM A TRUE MIAMI DOLPHIN FAN.

I agree...it is time to rebuild we need to get younger, however I don't think the coaching staff is the problem....maybe lack of talent.

That's idiotic. Nothing ever gets fixed overnight. We've had a new coach for all of 21 games now. If you're going to be this impatient then why don't you just dump the aqua and go with the Broncos. Being a "TRUE DOLPHINS FAN" isn't about calling for a major overhaul just a year and half into a new regime.

True, Saban pulled of a great end of a season last year. But I just feel we have more talent on the team which should have won more than 1 game.

Why is that idotic....JJ came in and rebuilt this team bascially overnight and gave us one of the youngest best defenses in the league at that time.

saban and the other coaches don't play the game. they can't catch the ball , block the right guy , cover the right guy , throw the ball. at some point the team just has to execute and they are clearly not. maybe they read the same things we did and figured they were a lock, but lets remember who built this team up. i don't think i heard any of the coaches say this was a playoff team much less a sb.there is alot of turnover on this team from a player standpoint and that says alot about the personnel we had here, but with the way the team was managed b4 nick got here and the way wanny gave away draft picks this team at some point was going to fall. this team was left in very sad shape and now were reaping the sins of mismanagement.

On your first points - the staff is responsible for picking players who can run, receive, throw, block, and execute. Saban is the top staffer and picked the other staff members - this all falls to him. Poor drafting (top picks who can't get on the field even when current players suck, or are ineffective when they are on the field), horrible FA choices, poor staff hires, etc.

Mularky is doing now exactly what he did in Buffalo - ultra-conservative and look for a trick play. This should have been expected and avoided.

Capers - stop with the MLB blitzes - Zach is ineffective - come up with something more original or get a different MLB.

This team is due to be rebuilt - on both sides of the ball - and it starts with hitting on draft picks and spending some money along the OL.

Well

The only idiot that said something about the SB was chamber, i think he was talking about buying a couple of tickets, cause he really has show NO interes in playing to been there with the Dolphins. About rebuilding, We have been rebuilding since ever, the only problem is that most of the time we blow it in the draf and no having to many picks latetly.GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

Since I don't see where to post a new thread, I may as well voice it here. Here is a question for everyone: Is there a worse fanbase than Boston--Patriots, in particular? They rub it in when they make a great play or come away with a win, but when a flag gets thrown on a Pats penalty or the Fins hit a big play, somehow it wasn't fair. You can just tell that they expect every call and play to go their way. It's so frustrating to watch a game sitting alongside these guys. Wow.

Too bad we play offense too.

Which wasn't his fault. He couldn't remove Dan. And Dan was honestly the problem with rebuilding under Jimmy.

Welcome to the new era.

We we are BUILDING.

I know it's gonna take a while for most fans to realize it... but the team that's on the field right now, is NOT the team Saban envisions in the near future.

You guys have to understand something.... we have a LOT of problems and needs. And for those in denial, JT and ZT will be gone soon.

We don't have their replacements on the team right now.

Where do you think we are going to get them? Yes, in the draft. From my estimates... we are stilll about 20 players away from where Saban wants us.

For those who want to argue with me... please... it's pointless. It's not that I'm "right" and you're "wrong".... it's just what is. You can't honestly expect to believe we were "that close" when Saban got here. The 11-5/10-6 seasons were the best that team was going to do. We're not plugging new faces into THAT old team. We're putting a new face on THIS team.

Before this is over.... Kevin Carter, Keith Traylor, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Vonnie Holiday, Damien McIntosh, Seth McKinney, possibly Shelton (the way it's looking), Ricky Williams, Olindo Mare, Jeff Zgonina, Dan Wilkinson, Marty Booker and possibly another OLineman will be replaced. We ARE NOT rebuilding for next year or the year afterwards... we are BUILDING for the next 5 - 10 years. We really need to come to grips with it and move on. Living in the past is doing us no good.

havent we been rebuilding? gone are Tim Bowens and Larry chester and Sam and pat and Brock and greenwood and Seau and Orande and mcKnight and the whole O-line and Fieldler and Feeley and Ricky and Conrad. we rebuilt already we just picked the wrong pieces. the only originals are Chambers, McMichael, Geno James and Seth Mckinney and on defense Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas thats it.

this team was doomed long before we knew it. GOOd teams build within the draft and replace within the draft. You cant build a team with free agents and thats what most of the players on this team are.

from the 2000 NFL draft no player we drafted is on the roster NONE.

from the 2001 NFL draft ONLY Chambers and Minor are still on the roster.

from the 2002 NFL draft only McMichael and Mckinney are still on the roster.

from the 2003 NFL draft only Yeremiah Bell is still on the roster.

from the 2004 NFL draft only Rex Hadnot, Vernon Carey and Derrick Pope are still on the roster.

i wont do the 2005 draft cuz its too early to know who'll be here 3-4 yrs down the road.

well thats FOUR yrs worth of drafts and we got Chambers, McMichael, Carey, and Hadnot as starters and on defense only Bell seems to be a quality starter.

thats FOUR yrs 5 starters and 8 people in total still on the team. thats not even enough to field a team of 11 players. to be a GOOD NFL team you need to ATLEAST hit on 3 of your picks a year. 5 starters in four NFL drafts is pathetic. and this is why we stink.

I'm not sure if you realised this but...we are already in the rebuilding process. It's the reason we are trying to bring in younger players. Unfortunately, some of them have not capitalized on their chances.

After listening to Saban's post game remarks...this year is going to be a lot like last year. And it is not over by a LONG shot.

Saban is waiting to see where the chemistry is and mentioned that he is not playing Culpepper because "his mobility isn't where we want it to be"... also that "we finally looked like a team out there and I don't care about the record" and that "things are beginning to turn around"...

We were 3-7 when he found the chemistry and we ended up one game away from the playoffs last year...

We are 1-4. If today was a sign of things to come...we are about to hit a win streak and get back in this thing starting next week.

Harrington will play the rest of the year. Take that to the bank. :cooldude:
