Time to Sign Karras Long-term?

I would be ok with it, but it seems like half the fan base is already trying to run Karras out of town and replace him in the lineup in 2021.

I like that the front office extended the contract of Shaheen. Is Karras next?

There's some nice talent at that position in the draft, but Karras has played well and is young. Why not take care of that position?

It is strange the FO would chose to extend a guy like Shaheen already. He seems decent to me and nothing special that you could possibly lose in F.O. period. Why chose him as the first guy to sign longterm when other positions like Karras(C) are so much more vital?

He has been less than avg in short yardage situations.Karras is what he is.. stout in the passing game.. hit or miss on screens and can't move dts in small space.. I honestly believe Kindley is our best lineman already. He still has issues however he holds his blocks better than everyone except flowers. He can get to the second level and swallow lbs. We are in good hands going forward

Exactly if there is one guy i'd hate to lose it's Zach Siler.
Kind of surprised he wasn't the first to get an extension.

But if our plan isn't to grab Humphrey, I don't think we're in position to lose Karras. We don't need him to be a star. That's Jackson, Kindley, and Hunt's job.

i can see why fans want karras resigned his been getting better of late
! , but i prefer a upgrade and cheaper guy next season via draft !

i love for them to re sign zach siler ,his a RFA next season , but his our best def lineman this season
i think ogbah and wilkins are both better

If the money is right I am fine with extending Karras.

His signing was always meant to be a prove it one year deal and I think he has proven that he is a legit NFL starter.

Not a Pro Bowler, but a solid NFL Center.

Breida was a similar deal but he has obviously not earned an extension yet, and RB's are easier to find than C's.

He's been an excellent addition, especially for the price we paid and of course taking him off the cheats. There still more tread on those tires, get him signed up for a couple more years, that shouldn't preclude us taking Creed Humphreys though with one of our high picks, quality depth on the line is exactly what we need.

I’d give him 2 more years just so we don’t have to immediately address the position.

that’s kind of where I’m with it assuming the money is right.

I saw creed Humphrey earlier this year looked to me like he might have scraped some of the athlete a little to add weight. Or maybe he’s just carrying a little too much.
