Well, leading up to Denver, most of us thought that Gus would be a good caretaker and the OL would improve and RB would collect 100 yard games like beads of sweat in summer camp, and CC would have had at least 2 - 50+ yard receptions....instead we have dink and dunk Gus who can't hit the broadside of a barn (despite being a better leader on the field than any other QB we have), the OL has pass protected well sometimes and sometimes not and has not run-blocked well yet. CC has been open a few times, but has been overthrown when he was and off target for the most part. Oh, and I forgot the 21 penalties we've had, the majority being either concentration errors and/or driver killers. The D played like a serious contender D against Denver, then played slightly below that last week, but the Jests did expose our secondary for what it is and we now can look forward to everyone else trying to do the same. Pressure from the DL has been good and not as good.
The positives are that Gus hasn't thrown any pick-6's. The run D has been consistent and good. McMike is kicking tail. Saban and staff have actually made mid-game adjustments, something we haven't seen since Shues...
So we should talk only about the fewer positives than discuss the more glaring negatives...that seems to be seeing the forest and not the trees to me...
That said, I surely hope that I can talk about how the OL improved against the Panthers and that Gus starts hitting recievers w/o them having to become contortionists to catch the ball and Brown will have an opportunity or two to get past the LOS without being hit first....I'll certainly grasp it...
