STEP IT UP GUS

yeah, but not better records!

very true, I don't expect Gus to be the reason for our wins when we win, but I don't want anyone to be able to say he is the reason we lose a game.

Not saying he is the cause, but you are right, he needs to STEP IT UP about 3 notches.:(

6 INT that at least weren'y run back for 6.

hes not playing devastatingly bad.... But we all knew he wouldnt be "great".. stop expecting something that isn't going to arrive this season. His INTs weren't the reason we lost.

get over it already!

when you lose by 6 and your qb throws an int in the endzone, that is a very big part of why you lost. im not saying gus is THE reason we have lost twice, but he sure as hell has something to do with it. sub 70 ratings in both losses. he's got to be better than that. scrub rookies and inexperienced qbs can post 70 ratings.

I agree. You cannot win in this league imo with a micro manger qb. The just don't lose it theory at the qb position is for losers. The qb is the most important position to determind winning from losing. You need a player that can make plays accurate throws when you need them. Escape a few on rushing defenders at the critical stage. If you look at the successful teams with a legit chance at the superbowl none have the micro manager qbs or the just don't lose the game qb. That is wanny thinking. The longer you put off investing in a couple high draft pick qbs to lead your team the longer you put off a shot at the superbowl. That is my opinion feel free to disagree.

Ah, where's the WRs BETTER STEP IT UP so people stop ragging Gus thread?

You can keep making these threads all you want, but fact remains he's the most respectable QB we've had here for a long time, and if you think he's going to be benched you have another thing comming.

OK What about the countless penalties that lead to points... what about the brown fumble that was leading to points... what about the bad snap... what about taylor jumping offsides.. or McMike taunting.. or Thomas getting the helmet to helmet hit... or Spragans penatly the lead to a TD in the first Qtr...Sure Gus' performance wasn't great... but he isn't the only one... And at the end of the game.. when there was a chance to win.. he still marched them down the field... Till the Brown fumble. If they scored on that drive you wouldn't be complaining.

This loss was far to bad to pick on one guy.

I think you just dont like Gus.. All these roast Gus threads... Its rediculous.

If Gus needs to step it up its not based on his stats to date. They arent the reason for the 2 L's.

I do agree with your sentiment, but in a different way.

If we can get the passing game to step it up, put big plays on the board in week 5 and nice gaudy stats it will give other teams another dimension to account for when they gameplan us in the future.

I think to date, most teams that match up dont really fear our passing game. With Ronnie and the Oline producing solid numbers over the last 2 weeks, and with Ricky returning I think most focus in on that. We have a chance to have a very respectable running attack. As well as PA and quick passing attack.

But if we can get the deep ball and crossing patterns on track, look out.

So if Gus steps it up along with the entire passing game helping to consistenly put up big plays that will go along way for us down the road.

I, too, think Gus has done well enough for us to win those games. Sunday's game was an entire TEAM loss, not just one guy.
