Time to stop the hate for Dallas Thomas

Dallas Thomas hears the noise.

He knows that fans — and even some media members — were so concerned about his ability to play left tackle that they wanted Ryan Tannehill benched in tonight’s preseason game to prevent injury.

But Thomas did what he’s done in the last two preseason games. He played well. He kept Tannehill upright. He looked like a serviceable left tackle.

I agree. He has done pretty well so far. No longer the worst starter on the line. When Albert comes back the line should be great.

Ya your right, it's pre season and the Atlanta line was just playing 3/4 speed! No one is saying he's our new LT. SMH

Count me a skeptic. Last night's competition wasn't exactly stellar, Thomas is going to have to handle some MUCH better opponents.

I'm still lighting a candle for Tannehill every Sunday morning...

Ive read every negative thing possible about this guy from the media and from alot of the FH community. Oh sign mathis, dallas is going to get RT killed, oh he cant play left tackle for this game, we should sit RT. Yes he was bad in one on ones vs Suh but even when he is doubled teamed suh is a problem. You know who has had his back from the beginning The Coaching Staff and I think its time we put faith in them. I know its hard because of past years but this coaching staff and FO keep proving they know what they are doing. We as fans are in for a special year, so please sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

As much as it hurts to say this, I agree. He seems to be playing better. Maybe it's the stepped up competition in practice.

It's right to stay cautious about Dallas, but gotta give him all the credit in the world; he's worked his ass off to become a starter and it looks like it's paying off

I'm still not sold on Thomas but Billy Turner is definitely not a starter in this league. Either way, we lack depth on the line. Hopefully we can grab an upgrade after cuts are made.

The starting offense has been dominating. Billy Turner is a part of the starting offense. Why is that not good enough? What will be good enough, 20 second pockets with perfect passer ratings and 400 yards rushing every game?

Exactly, they are young guys that will get better ad the season progresses. Our guards are serviceable starters now and I am expecting them to be at least average by the end of the year.
