I think that we need to look at upgrading the defense and adding some quality players there.
We could use a DT, S,OLB for starters and now that Lavar has signed with the Giants, why not sign Ty Law so we don't have to draft a safety.
This would enable the team to draft a WR or OLB or even a DT with the first pick.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins trade down to get additional picks in this draft because it seems like there is plenty of talent and it looks deep.

Yes we need a lot, signing Ty Law opens the first round pick for a WR

We have Zach and Crowder at LB, we need another OLB.
We really don't have an experienced safety so there is a need there.
Keith Traylor is 37 years old so getting a young tackle who fits into this 3-4 scheme would make sense.
Adding another WR who can scare teams from double covering Chambers would make this offense amazing.

im still for trading down getting mangold in the late 20's and then in the 2nd picking up a sick Quick WR like Little Moss or somthing

Dont get me wrong i would love to have another sick LB on this team but we have alot of good LB's and i think we need to worry about our problem at center 1st ~!

And maybe one more olineman to solidify our oline. Who's that free agent from Jax that was a 2nd round "underachiever?" But I agree that we need those 4 things as much if not more.

I think Law would be overpriced. I also think we need another OLB, DT and DB in that order.

Personally, I would not want to take a LB at our slot. I'd prefer to trade down several slots (8-10), pick up a couple of extra picks and then take Carpenter or Greenway. I like Carpenter. He's rugged and plays hard. And, he has ideal size. Whether he has the suddenness to be a good edge rusher, that's another issue and I'll leave it to Nick and the scouts to make that determination.

If we do take our pick at 16, I wouldn't mind one of the top two DT's if they are still available.

For the 100th time. Law is fat, old, overrated, and overpaid. We had the oldest D in the NFL last year. Do you want to overpay for a washed-up has-been when we could get a younger, cheaper, better player in the draft. There's a reason Law hasn't even gotten serious interest from anyone this offseason.

excuse me ?

The guy had 10 INTS last season ! he is still one of the best CB's in the NFL i dont care what ppl say sure he is old but so is Surtain !

He still has a good 2 years left in the tank i would take him on this team in a heartbeat !

thats like saying John Lynch is horrendus cause he is so old ! Didnt he make the pro-bowl aswell?

Isnt Zach alittle old? Isnt JT alittle old... Great players give it all they got, and i rather have a couple old great players with vision and experiance then a bunch of new guys

Yeah, the reason is he wants too much money...he can still play by the evidence that he did have ten picks last year. We could use a play maker in the secondary now that Sam and Patrick play elsewhere.
It looks like our secondary has some potential, but really doesn't show any big play stats...Will Allen has dropped many passes that should have been easy picks and the rest of the secondary is inexperienced, which is why Law would be a great fit, for his experience and leadership.

I agree with you...adding one of those LB's would be awesome....so would drafting a guy like Manny Lawson who is a lot like Jason Taylor. :dolphins:

I have to agree here, atleast the part about Laws ability to still play. His first year with the Jets after coming off a season ending injury. 10 INT's, that's sick!!! The guy understands his role and plays it like a trained assassin. If he ends up in Seattle....it's over.

Not getting Arrington certainly mixes it up now regarding who we go for in the Draft. Im saying we go for OLB now. I would have liked to have seen us get a WR if we got Lavar but if we are to use the 3-4 on D more then an OLB is a need we have to address. We may look at the Safety position with a lower pick.
