The attitude of this team is a direct reflection of Philbin. He's too busy worrying about losing to actually go out and grab a win. This is exactly how the Dolphins play. Have you noticed that the team always comes out flat during games they're picked as favorites versus games they're not supposed to win?

They describe it as coming out "flat". Really what's happening is that they're coming out tight. The team should go through their routine to correct the errors from last week, but Philbin also needs to find a way to loosen these guys up during the long travel week.

As for Tannehill, that crap that Philbin pulled with his non-committal answers was DUMB. Tannehill already knows he's being evaluated. Why would you put more negative thoughts into your quarterback's head? His message should have been simple. "Ryan, you are one of the most gifted athletes in this league. Go out and rip it!"

no way I could leave AJ Duhe Hanging.... One thing for certain, we need to come out of the locker room with more intensity to start the game....

Sadly, we have been playing like that for a long time now :(

We play not-to-lose, instead of playing to win. Now I'm not saying we need to go out there with reckless abandon, but we need to play more aggressive.

When we have a team on the ropes we need to step on their throats and put the game out of reach, rather than run the clock out and hope the other guys don't score. We need to get the mindset that, not only will we beat the other team, but that we will DOMINATE them. You can't play this game scared.

Playing it safe puts too much pressure on the D and keeps the opponent motivated because the game is still within their reach.

Playing it safe means you are hesitant, worried about making a mistake. If you hesitate, you are not playing to your full potential, and if you are not playing to your full potential, you are setting yourself up for mediocrity at best, but more likely, failure. The benefit you get from playing aggressive and taking risks will out-weigh the mistakes you make by playing scared.

The most frustrating thing is that we have the schemes in place to do just as you suggested, but for some reason, we never really unleash the team's full potential. As soon as Philbin got here, he talked about up-tempo, playing fast. For some reason, Sherman never unleashed it. Now with Lazor, it's the same thing.
