Tipped Passes

Too many by Gus....is there any reason why (besides the fact that he sux) he has soooooo many passes tipped at the line of scrimmage?

Yes.
The reason is that the D lineman put their hands in the air and block the pass.

actually I think it may be because he stands like a statue in the pocket (similar to Drew Bledsoe) and doesn't move around to find a passing lane between D-linemen.

Just wanted to know if there was something that I was missing because he seems to get several passes tipped every game. Is it his throwing style?
Defensive penatration? Combination? Just curious because it seems liek he gets more passes tipped than any qb I have ever watched.

Makes sense....u wonder why for for such a veteran qb he wouldn't understand this?

Marino had a few blocked during the last few seasons of his career too. When the D-Line can't get to the QB the next best thing is to time their jump to block the pass. Jason Taylor has blocked a few in his career.
