Tired of all this negativity

I am for one proud of our team! All you negative people saying cut this person and that person. U SUCK. We dominated and lead all the way to the 4th quarter on the team that they are calling the BEST in football today! Yes we need WR's And some work in the secondary but man come on. Wha did u expect. I watched the Bears game and I am glad to be a Dolphins fan. We have the toughest Sched. in the nfl. And we are holding our own. We are still growing as a team and the Pains are hard to get through but with the trifecta I truly think we will get there.

dude, im not specifically one of the people who are saying cut this person, that person, etc. but i do think its getting a little tiring being proud when we compete. this league isnt about competing, at the end of the day its about one thing and one thing only. WINS. this isnt the first time this happened, we have blown so many games that we shouldve won, and im not talking about the atlanta game or san diego game because we didnt deserve to win those games. but the fact that we are at home, which makes this so much worse, coming off a bye, and have a 3 touchdown lead and blow a lead like this in remarkable. i swear to you that if it was vice versa, there would be no way in hell we wouldve come back. if people are happy with just being competitve thats great, but as a fan whos been watching relgiously for 12 years now since i was 7, im getting fed up with all these heartbreaking losses.

I will be positive in the fact that I really think this rebuilding project is showing signs that we could be pretty darn good in a few years. I feel like the sign that it is completed is finishing games like the Colts game and yesterdays. Another sign will be when Ginn is either gone because of our number one receiver or lining up at the 2nd or 3rd receiver spot where he belongs.

Ok, Say we do start cutting people, Who is out there to replace them. We may have just lost Allen for the season. Are we going to get a star off of another teams practice squad. Yes this loss sucked, Living in chicago being a Dolphins fan is hard enough as it is but I have to believe they will only get better. Losses like this one hurts but imagine if it was to the Ram's or Buc's. We stayed in the game with the 2 best teams in in the nfl. we are good just not great yet.

Well get used to it, because this team is a work in progress. Seems like people forget this is a far from finished rebuilding project. There's people that are acting all negative on these boards, and whatever, that's their prerogative, but it's pretty difficult coming to these boards with all of that, so I don't come by so much.

And I disagree that this league is about wins, and not competing. Maybe if you are an established contender with Super Bowl aspirations, like the Giants or Steelers, then that's the case. But have a reality check, the Dolphins aren't there yet. What would you rather have? A relatively meaningless blowout win over the pathetic Raiders like the Jets did yesterday? Or a good close loss against arguably the best team in the league and see a good barometer at where our young and developing team stands?

The Dolphins have the same number of wins as the Redskins, the Panthers, and the Raiders. Difference is the Dolphins are an up and coming team that's competing, while those are teams that have a long way before even turning the corner.

So get used to it, because you build franchises through the draft and you're supposed to take a lot of lumps in the process. Since taking over from 1-15, and having to build a team from that? This regime has done a pretty solid, and smooth job, with not nearly as many lumps as I was expecting. If you told me after going 1-15, that the Dolphins would win the AFC East in the 1st year, and in the 2nd year find your starting QB (I'm not sold on Henne 100%, but I think he's likely to succeed as long as you improve the team around him) and take two of the best teams in the NFL to the last minutes in two tough losses, and even be able to have the argument that the Dolphins should have won the game? I'd take it, happily. But that's me.

i stress this point so many times, and im not disagreeing with u entirely but heres my point. we can all agree the dolphins are an nfl team. now that being said when an nfl team can dominate games like the dolphins have this year vs the colts and saints, whether or not they are in a ''rebuilding'' phase, there is no way they should have lost. its one thing like if we were down like 14 pts, and came back and made it competitve and lost and we can say'' hey at least we were competitive against a good team'', but when we have these big leads and are showing how we can dominate these teams, we are obviously a good enough team to win these games. thats y im so pissed bc we rnt the redskins, raiders, browns, rams, etc where if we compete its ok. we are a good football team who when we get ahead we just play diffrently and it comes back and bites us in the a**. maybe its our players dont play with as much emotion once we have these leads or our coaching staff eases up, but its still inexcuseable to lose games the way we do consistently whether we are in a ''rebuilding phase'' or not.

Maybe you need to take some time off this board, dude. Everyone's pissed about the loss - some choose to sing kumbaya about it and others punch holes in their walls and beat their wives. Point is, do you really feel like taking your frustration out on other fans helps you cope? If it does, by all means, carry on...

Proud? People can be proud of peewee football teams. This is a pro football team with highly paid players. Winning and nothing else is the name of the game at this level.

And, btw...

We didn't dominate all the way to the 4th quarter, we only dominated up until about 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Our momentum and energy was gone after the Saints scored right before the half.

We are not 'holding our own.' Holding our own is 3-3 or 4-2 at this point.

dude.

happy that you are so happy with the state of the team. Yes, it has potential. What does that get you. Diddly.

You need to win games. You need to win games where you should win, and win games that you are expected to not win. That is what a winning franchise does. Competing is boring. We have competed since 1974. Been there done that.

Now about your point about players and who you get now. Well duh, there is no one available now. The deal is to RECOGNIZE your team weaknesses and make moves in the offseason.

It was highly apparent that our Safeties, ILBs and WRs from last year were very suspect. There was ABSOLUTELY no areas on this team, barring RB, where there was depth beyond need. WHY THE HECK was Pat White drafted? That could have been a starting Safety or ILB or anywhere but backup tiny QB.

WRs were available on waivers, and if we dropped Ginn tomorrow and signed Marvin Harrison, no one would be upset, except the Ginn family. The Ginn project is over, trade him to Baltimore while Cam (fail falling forward) Cameron is still with that team.

We didnt make the moves we could have to make this team better. You saw the results against Indy and NO. Period.

Happy days...

exactly wat ive been saying. obviously though some people are ok with just competing.i can see if we lost to the best team in the nfl 35-28 after having a 28-7 lead in the 4th quarter ppl would say at least we competed.
