I'm tired of people throwing ginn under the bus and just calling him our third wide receiver and saying he wouldn't crack the lineup of any other team in the nfl.

With as much improvement as he showed this season in catching and running there is no doubt in my mind that he will keep improving and live up to his first round potential

Face it, Wide receiver is not a position you get immediate results with. They have to learn to play with NFL caliber cornerbacks and it takes a while to adjust.

I feel REALLY good going into next season with Ginn, Camarillo, and Bess as our receivers.

Chad is going to work his tail off in the off season to get even more familiarity with our receivers.

Also, the reason Ginn didn't put up "#1 wide receiver numbers" is the simple fact that Pennington doesn't force passes down field to his favorite target or the guy who's "supposed" to get the most receptions. He finds openings in the defenses and he spreads the ball around to everyone. That is why we had success with 3 running backs and 2 tight ends, along with the slot receiver getting alot of balls thrown to them too because of the lack of press coverage.

I cannot wait to see how ginn plays next year and in 2010 at the end of next season you will be thinking to yourself "we finally have a number 1 receiver"

Actually, who needs to "face it" is you. Teams can and, do get immiediate production from the WR position. Some don't. Lots of people on this board have all thier eggs in the "3rd year" basket. We'll see. Not all WRs need three years, some do, some don't.

I do hope we see Ginn dominate next year. Nothing would please me more, but, I also would not be surprised if he doesn't, and puts up numbers exactly like this year, or similar for most of his career...Which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either.

We need to cut Ginn, Ronnie, Jason Allen, Satele, VC, Crowder, Hill, Roth, Vonnie, and god knows who else. If we want to make everyone happy we should just cut everybody.

Some people are just ignorant. They use him being picked #9 overall as an excuse to say he sucks. Was he deserving of #9? No. But he still can be a solid WR in this league. He's on our team, get over it. Anyone who couldn't see improvement in Ginn this year, is just blind. Is year 3 his breakout year? Who knows. Many times I've seen Ginn wide open downfield, but Penny doesn't have the arm strength to get him the ball, so he throws it to someone else. So could a QB with a good deep ball be the key to Ginn's success? Again, I don't know. We will have to see. All I can say is Ginn improved this year. People hate on him so much because he was picked #9, not his fault he was picked #9. Hate Cam and Mueller, not Ginn...

Some times you just play the hand your dealt. Cam and Randy picked him. Bill didn't. So I guess Bill should just cut him because you say he sucks right. Look, everyone wanted him to be an instant success. Frankly with the lousy coaching he got in his first year it is any wonder he isn't worse. Cam may have single handedly ruined Beck. But I digress. Believe it or not most players need to learn how to play in the NFL. Most don't burn up the NFL their first year. What bad habits and wrong technique did he have to flush and learn from a real coaching staff.
Honestly I think 2007 set him back a little in his development.

LEAVE BRITNEY, I MEAN GINN ALONE!!!

What offensive weapons did the Fins have this past year? We had tight ends and running backs, and we use them well. We have WRs too, but Ginn-Cam/Bess is hardly Bolden-Fitz.

I appreciate the feedback, but there's no need to throw the statement back in my face. I may be 17 years old but it doesn't mean that i don't have the right to post an opinion and state the simple fact that many productive receivers in the NFL right now took a few seasons to get acclimated.

Steve Smith
Year 1: 10 receptions 154 yards
Year 2: 54 receptions 872 yards
Year 3: 88 receptions 1,110 yards

Terrell Owens
Year 1: 35 receptions 520 yards
Year 2: 60 receptions 936 yards
Year 3: 67 receptions 1,097 yards

Reggie Wayne
Year 1: 27 receptions 345 yards
Year 2: 49 receptions 716 yards
Year 3: 68 receptions 838 yards
Year 4: 77 receptions 1,210 yards

Ginn didn't put up the numbers that many number 1's do because we don't usually pass the ball downfield which seems to fit Ginn best as he can stretch the field with his speed. Also, one of Pennington's strengths is to spread the ball around, which he did. Ginn showed tremendous improvement this year compared to last season and his future is looking very bright.

Don't be surprised if about 5 of those are...

I never said you didn't have the right to state your opinion. Certainly you are within the TOS to post whatever you like as long as it falls within the guidelines.

I'm not sure if you read any of my post past the portion you highlighted, but, I actually agreed with you. Many WRs take 3 years to develop. Many WRs don't take three years to develop and, come in right away and contribute. That's just facts, man. Just because X or X WRs take 3 years to develop doesn't mean that Ginn WILL develop in his third year. Doesn't mean he won't, either.

If you are upset about the highlighted portion of my post, perhaps you should watch what you post, if you can't face the same being directed back at you.

Actually, I haven't read many negative posts about Ginn lately. He showed a lot of improvement but you while you point out that he wasn't thrown to down field due to lack of arm strength by Penne, you over look that on many occasions he does not get himself open.

I certainly hope he continues his growth amd contributes but to say that WR's need 3 years to develop is ridiculous. Some do and some don't.
