Tivo to Computer...full game?

Hi guys

I know some of you out there are experts right now in putting the game on DVD's from the DVR.

Now my question is this; I am ready to load the game off my Tivo onto my computer, so I can burn it to a DVD.

Do I use compression? What do I select to keep the game full screen, in good quality, yet still fit on a 4.7gig DVD-R?

I have the ATI Multimedia Center.

Yes, you will use compression (of course, Tivo is already compressed). Select MPEG2 or MPEG4 and DVD resolution is 720 X 480.

The idea is to get it on your computer at the highest quality possible. Edit out any fat...and then allow the DVD authoring software to determine the highest rate of quality to fit your program onto the DVD. Selecting Mpeg audio will allow you to squeeze out a little more room for video quality. Typical compression rate on a DVD burn is between 3.5 and 6 Mbit/s. Max quality on a DVD is 9.8 Mbit/s if the program is less than a hour.

how are you ripping the tivo recording to your PC? video card? try using Etivo for a stream across your broadband - you can watch any programs from your TiVo anywhere...
