To All Florida-Based DOlphins Fans

If I lived in South Florida -check that, if I lived anywhere in Florida, I would buy season tickets the same day that I closed on my Mortgage.

I live in NJ and have never missed a Dolphin game when the fins play the Jets or Giants but the tickets are not easy to get. The games are sold out EVERY WEEK. There is a 20+ year waiting list to get season tickets. The only way to get into the game is to know someone who has tickets, scalp them at the gate and pay top dollar or sneak into the stadium (I have done this one year! I made believe I was a concessions worker. I couldn't wear my Jersey that year, but still saw the game and it was the best game ever- Marino's Fake Spike!)

Are you serious? They arent gonna show the Dolphins homeopener on local tv cuz you guys wont go to the game. I live in New York and won't see the homeopener anyways , but come on. Get off your butts and off your computers and go buy some Dolphins homeopener tickets! This thing should be sold out. The coaching debut of Nick Saban and there are still thousands of tickets unsold? You've got to be kidding.

P.S. ITS THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON!!!

$79 bucks each way on Jet Blue.

I'll be at the game like I am every week.

Will you?

I am traveling from cincinnati on Sunday morning to catch my beloved phins....but I understand if people can't afford to go.

Im driving three hours like I do every home game and bringing the GF and a couple buds. Im accounting for 4 of the seat...........I cant do it alone. Sad thing is is when we sell out it is normally alot of fake fans that dont wear the gear or know what they are talking about and treat it like a social gathering rather than a FOOTBALL game.

This thread is total crap. I hear this about the crowd every year. People, THE STATE OF FLORIDA'S POPULATION IS MADE UP WITH PEOPLE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Period. You meet more New England people down here than anything, and do you really believe they are going to go to a Dolphins/Broncos game? Come on...

I personally go to every game (sect. 128, row 15) and the fans who sit in my section are great. And do you want to know why every Bronco, Packer, Bear, Buffalo, etc. game is always "sold out" by the way? Because there is nothing else to do in those freakin' states on a freezing cold Sunday afternoon.

Why isn't this obvious to people? When I lived up north in MA for 20 years, my options for football Sundays were:

1. Go to the game and freeze my *** off
2. Watch the game indoors at my house
3. Go to a bar and watch it

Down here, I (and people in general) can go to the beach, do just about anything they want outdoors (cookout, hang out by the pool, etc.).

What the hell are you going to do in Buffalo?

I don't know why this always comes up.....

Exactly! Besides, I am sick of this "Miami has the worst fans" crap. When the Patsies were having 4-12 seasons they were drawing LESS THAN 20,000 fans to some games. They never, ever sold out games in a small 62,000 seat stadium. I am sure lots of teams with crappy records struggle to sell while the team rebuilds. Let's just focus on being loud and winning on Sunday.

Good point, and take it from me, when I lived there they barely got 10,000 people at Sullivan Stadium.

That's why I refer to Gilette Stadium as "Bandwagon Central."

Don't try to make excuses for why teams can actually sell out. If anything he has more to do with the variety of people in Miami then the "nice weather."

Your right I forgot the beach, having a cookout, or hanging out by a pool is only allowed in Miami, Florida.

I got my tickets for the 3rd year in a row...WHy dont yall get your aces down here and fill that stadium.?

By 11:30 am I'll already be on my 2nd or 3rd brewski, probably about to eat my 1st burger, and waiting for the 2nd blunt to get blasted chilling right outside the stadium.

Exactly. It's not unheard of to not completely sell out when your team is struggling. We're coming off a 4-12 season. Football tickets are expensive. Nobody wants to pay to see a loser. You can call if fair weathered or whatever you want, but every team's fanbase has done the same when their team sucked.

I also noticed something ironic. The people starting these threads aren't going to the games themselves. "But i'm not from Florida, see.. I have an excuse." No you don't you're just as guilty as the fans who aren't buying tickets it Miami.

you guys just don't get it. The fin fanbase in fla. are all going. That's how much finfans are left in So. Fla. The rest of the fans livng there are NY'kers.

ok millionaire, give me the 1200$ so me and my family can get season tickets and ill be at every game until then shut the hell up

Actually, i live in NJ and own 2 pairs of season tickets and attend EVERY home game, along with 4 road trips each season

If you scalp one seasons pair, it will cover the majority of the cost of your other seats

Its not the expensive if you do it right

I can tell you one thing, when I lived in Buffalo they wouldn't always sell out but Topps (grocery store) would buy tickets so that the game could be televised. I think it's a dumb rule but at the same time, I am not going to knock Fans in the area who dont want to go to the stadium. Especially with the way prices are moving up nowadays.
