As appealing as it may be at this point to want to draft a QB in the first day, lets be real here. We just gave up a 2nd rounder that could pan out exponentially, and a 5th rounder for a servicable backup. Lets be honest here, the Fins WILL NOT draft another QB, and more likely than not, will NOT trade away Harrington after this season, and will not release Culpepper (Speilman is not still running this organization). C-Pepp, when healthy, will be our QB for the next few years. I would be all for throwing our 4-7th round in to draft a project QB, or for us to sign Omar Jacobs and sit him for a few years and groom him, but not to draft in the 1st day.

Just a rant....it's pissing me off seeing people wanting us to take Quinn or any of those other QB's

If Brohm is available and Saban bypasses him for the hope that Daunte can regain some level of talent then he's nuts. Quinn I could see bypassing but not Brohm

Take Quinn

I thikn if Quinn is available, we would be crazy not to take him. But then again we aren't going to have that high of a pick since we are goign to win out. And make the playoffs. Go Fin!!! Go Gators!!

kevin kolb is the best pro prospect at qb outside of the first round. Unfotunately he'll have to hold the clipboard for two years before he's ready

I go to UF. IM a junior and have watched all leaks games in the stadium. Leak sucks. Hes not a winner. If you want a guy who on 3rd and 5 will run 4 yards then slide short, then go ahead, get him, cause thats who he is. And all his numbers, well he throws short screens, to the most talented receivers who just inflate them. LEAK FUKKKIN SUCKS.

Tim Tebow , now hes worth a top pick if he left.

So if we take Joe Thomas, that would be good. Now we'd have a left tackle to protect a QB who can't throw. Hopefully Daunte can come back healthy, otherwise, we're screwed.

Quinn and Calvin Johnson are tempting but we need O-Line.....Obviously.

While I agree with the assessment that Leak is not a great QB, I wonder how you think Tim Tebow, who is an option-style QB, would be worth a top pick in the NFL Draft.

 Did Saban told you this?

I think there is a great possibility of drafting a quarterback. Just wait untill Wayne, Dan Marino, Don Shula and others start to whisper around the organization. They may not have any power, but I bet they can get Saban to think really well on the subject of drafting a quarterback.

If you have a shot at Brady Quinn, you take it. Especially when our supposebly "franchise" quarterback has been seperated from pro bowl form 2 years now, 3 headed to next season, and had only played 11 games in total the past 2 seasons since 2004 AND may not even play a single game to rehab his knee this season especially since now we're going to the tougher part of our schedule.

Just more reason why I think that those who say we were better off with Gus Frerrotte, actually made some sense. Not because he was any better than Daunte Culpepper, but because we are still rebuilding, and we should be rebuilding through the draft.
