Alright guys... You tell me 1 good reason why if we had the chance to draft Leinart that we shouldn't? Is it because he can't throw the ball 70yds? Well I don't ever recall Joe Montana ever throwing it 70yds. Well in 03 he threw for over 3,200 yds and 35TD's and only 9 INT's. In 04... first off he won the Heisman Trophy... then on top of that, he won a national title, disecting apart a very strong Oklahoma secondary, and he was doing it w/out his best reciever (Mike Williams). He finished the season throwing again for over 3,300 yds but only 6 INT's. He has all of the characteristics that it takes to be a QB in the NFL. Most importantly he's a flat out winner. If you watched that Notre Dame game then you know what I'm talking about. He does not buckle under pressure. I would love to see this guy in a Dolphin uniform, I just dont think we'll be picking low enough to grab him.

I Like Matt Leinart, I think he will be a good NFL QB. I have heard mixed opinions of him though and it just gets me wondering what if he really is as bad as they say?

He made a believer outta me when he completed that sideline pass in traffic right in the hands, very clutch. I consider him to be a great pic...maybe as good as manning or brady in reads and running the offense.

If USC wins the National Championship this season, Leinart will go down as the best college Qb ever. He is the only player in the draft that I would trade up for.

A player can look great in college and then come to the NFL stage and not have the same success. In the NFL every player was a star on their respective college teams. Maybe he'll shine... maybe he wont.
Brady was a 6th rounder.... who woulda thunkit?

its b/c he reminds me of ken Dorsey...he has so much talent around him that its hard for him not to be good

and imagine if he wins the heisman aswell..

2 heismans/3 national championships..pretty impressive. i dont think anyone in college football has done that

honestly i just dont like left handed qb's and he reminds me of todd marinavich!

I'd rather have Drew Stanton as the quarterback of the future

Agreed he has alot of talent around him like Dorsey. But the difference is Dorsey seriously had a below average arm. Despite what everyone is saying Leinart has a pretty good arm and is a better QB overall.

What exactly is it about leinart that people think wont translate to the pros?

Hes got the height, he's got the intangibles, hes got a decent arm, hes got the toughness, and smarts.. I just dont understand why some people see bust.. I dont watch him enough so i dont know..

Is he innacurate?

oooooooooooooh weis dolphin that was the greatest post ever....if stanton's throwing continues to progress like it has this year, he will be a first round pick after his senior year...theguy has all the skills alex smith has if not more...

as for leinart...i think he is so overrated...he has nfl players at every position...i do not think he is the next coming of peyton...

stanton! stanton! stanton!

Leinhart is a head case... He has been loopy since his concussion. Jessica simpsons husband just moved in with him. He just lost 10 million also since he most likely wont go till the 3rd spot. (49ers and Texans won't take a QB). Unless someone trades down by going 2 spots less, along with the hold on rookie contracts that will be in the new CBA he just lost a bus load of money and will be very hard to sign.

Is he scared of the NFL? Is he a head case, or does he just love to play college ball and risk an injury that will cause him millions of dollars? Or is it just his supporting cast that makes him look so good?

Whatever the case i'm not paid by an NFL team for a reason; I am an enthusiast not a scout. I'll trust whoever saban and Mueller pick. just take it as food for thought.
