To all you Wade Smith lovers........

ok, so who would you put at Left Tackle, who's better that's available right now? you must know something Speilman doesn't right?

McIntosh.. :D

Looked like getting by W. Smith last year was like taking candy from a baby. No player is going to be perfect but when you are getting beat time in and time out you need to find something else to do. He got thrown in a tough spot last year, this year is when he is going to have to prove himself. If he dont hack it this season he's done from my view.

McIntosh can't play right now. maybe at the half of the year. Personally I think Wade Smith would make a great gaurd, he's not big enough to be a LT. It doesn't mean he should be bashed, he's doing alright, considering.

He could have tried looking during the offseason he got a new linemen at every other position i guess he thinks Wade can do it. and i hope he can but last year he couldnt.

Give us a name. who would be 'better' than Wade Smith. where would you find a young LT with a year of playing time under his belt.

Lets face it Wade is doing ok for playing out of position.Hes a guard and thats, that.

Wanny's trying to motivate him. There's no point in saying something like that unless you believe he can perform better than he has by additional effort. Seriously. He singled out Wade in front of the media. You don't do that if you think the guy can't improve upon what he's doing. It doesn't hurt a thing in the world for W. Smith to know McIntosh is breathing down his neck rather than simply being penciled at RT only.

ooooooooh snap, a sophmore as raw as Wade Smith doesn't know how to play yet. We wasted a top 5 pick on a rookie that will be average for us the next 7 years.

my observation from last season and this season thus far.... Wade Smith = Turnstile. Period. I dont think he is a legit starter, im no genius, but that's my evaluation.

I know that Griese and Fiedler got blindsided and fumbled in alot more games then two and every time it was his side of the line.
So basically you do not know of any one time outside of the two games against the two Pro Bowlers, but yet we are suppose to take your word that he was terrible. I think not.

I know that he was a rookie and he shouldnt have been playing but he was so. Whether alot of those were RW fault because he was supposed to help is a different story. If your a starting NFL player you know how to play football specially on the line so being a rookie shouldnt be an excuse
Spoken like someone who does not understand how difficult the LT spot is.
Smith did an outstanding job considering all factors.

He hacked it last year. He is still very young and raw. He needs to improve on what he did last year, but to expect him to handle a teams best pass rusher week in and week out without ever getting beat is asking to much for what he can deliver.

Again give me some examples of him being a turnstile. I know he got beat when he went up against two of the best pass rushers in the NFL, but just whom else made him a turnstile?

What do you mean whom else? You take away Wade Smith and Mare's screw ups last year and we'd be 13-3. Each screw up in their case was critical and a game turning one. Against Indy and the NE last game Wade played poorly. Against NE's first Game Mare cost us. :yell:
