To anyone who uses Justin Herbert’s “stats” as the primary argument over Tua, just show them this.

Of course there is debate, 2.5 yrs into their careers and both have had strong regular season runs, neither has made the playoffs, yet, a lot of football to be played, resumes again in a big big way Sunday night!

If Miami had drafted Herbert, he'd be the next Marino and Tua would suck.

Come on kids, we've seen this movie...

Yes but the difference is Tua wasnt allowed to have excuses. And it still is the same way currently.
Facts.

His biggest haters...sorry..."detractors" never accepted anything outside Tua's individual realm of control as contributing factors to his showing over the previous two years...media largely included.

That same media is quick to point out (properly) what Herbert has had to deal with this year.

That's all in the past for Tua though. He's healed, he's healthier, stronger, and a much better leader/player than he was under the previous HC. He has checked a lot of boxes for me this season, and only has a few left IMO.

People forget how hard it is to make the adjustment from college to the NFL, especially for a QB. For a great many years, nobody expected anything out of a fresh NFL QB for quite a while (thanks for messing that up Dan!)...they need time to develop...which is why it was so disgusting to see the "he's a bust" crap going on from the get. Josh Allen has a cannon so he largely got a pass, even though there were plenty Bills fans calling him a bust early too.

He's our QB, so we should support his development 100%. He's earned it.
