Without a doubt Brady Quinn is going to be a great NFL Quarterback; much better than LSU's Jamarcus Russell. The real question is would drafting Brady Quinn be beneficial to this MIami Dolphins franchise? I think we have the Quarterback on our roster that is our man. Daunte CUlpepper before his injury was a Top 5 QB in the entire league. You can argue his decision making and whatever arguement you come up with but the fact is that his stats do the talking.Culpepper wants to play and he wnats to play here; he has been working his butt off to return to this team at 100% this season. Cam Cameron, Jason Garrett, and Culpepper himself have stated that they feel he will return to form. Why draft Brady Quinn if you have Daunte Culpepper is my question? I know the injury but I am going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and admit that he is human and that even the best pro athletes need time to recover from serious injuries. I think if 100% Culpepper is a better QB than both Jamarcus Russell and BRady Quinn. WHy not draft a Ted Ginn Jr., Alan Branch, or a Levi Brown? Those 3 guys fill huge needs for us. I would not be disappointed with Brady Quinn but question whether we need him. Have faith in C-Pepp, 2007 he gets his roll on.

I think Daunte can come back and be productive, but we'd be fools to put all our eggs in one basket here. We have to think of the future, even if Daunte comes back to form short-term.

Draft Brady Quinn if you can, either by him falling to us at #9, or w/ an attractive trade up. At the very least, get Drew Stanton.

I'm tired of the garbage we've had at QB for far too long. I like Daunte, hope he can come back to form, but I'm not banking on him in any way shape or form. Definitely - DRAFT BRADY!!

Any plan that relies on Culpepper as our future is a terrible plan. So Brady at #9 is intriguing. However, I think the best way to improve our offense is to improve our #1 WR position. Ginn is not a true #1. Jarrett in the 1st round or perhaps Rice in the 2nd, if he slides, could go a long way to improving our passing game.

why not draft a qb in the 2nd round ... why bank on the fact the QB has already established himself as a household name .. screw quinn and russel .. go with a lesser talked about guy in the 2nd .. Cam mass produces Qbs who can produce

i have no doubt that cpep will be back i just think it would be a good idea if we drafted quinn and let him sitt for 2 yrs like they did for rivers and palmer

If Brady is there at 9, you have to draft him or get a trade done. It's too premier a pick or position to pass up.

We can't bank on Daunte for the future. I hope Daunte does regain his ability to be a great QB but he is 30 (I beleive) and how do we khow the knee will hold up. We don't. It's impossible to pass a future franchise QB drop past us. But, after this weekend I think he will be a top 5 or even the 1st pick.

Rivers most certainly benefitted from being behind Brees, but to say that he's a product is stretching - the guy has skills and makes them work. Brady Quinn is the type of QB who will do whatever it takes to be successful, he's more polished than any other QB, and if Culpepper or Lemon aren't the answer he'll be ready to step in sooner than a project. If Quinn is there, hell yeah you draft him.

It's all about insurance. It's better to have than to have not. Yada yada. At worst, our situation would be like the Chargers with Brees and Rivers, to have the privilege of being able to choose from 2 good QB's as your starter and send off the other for a valuable draft pick or so.

I'm curious to know how you are so certain quinn will be much better than russell in the nfl?

There is no attractive trade up. We are already short our fifth round pick.
Trading up is the very last thing we should do.

I have always been an advocate of drafting a qb, in the second, or late first if we trade down. I have also stated stanton should be that guy.

To me.. if we are going to pay top ten dollars to a qb, we should start him right away. you don't have a top ten draft pick, sitting on the friggin bench a year or two. If we are going after quinn, daunte should be let go.
harrington should be let go regardless if we sign quinn in the first or not.

Jason garrett did promote confidence that daunte could return to form.
and daunte has said he wants to play 5-7 more years.
Obviously his knee is a question, but I just hate the idea of drafting a QB at nine, and having him loose to dc in camp, and paying a backup qb so much jack.

harrington's bonus is rediculous, and needs to be cut before that sucker comes due.

It's not that I doubt Quinn's ability to digest NFL-level quarterbacking, but the more time he has to learn the system the better. He's not being drafted with the intentions of starting him immediately, he's being drafted to be our franchise QB for the next 10 years.

Exactly!!! Definitely draft Quinn...I too am tired of our garbage QB's for far too long...I like Cpep's chances on coming back also, but I too do not want to only count on him POSSIBLY coming back to his previous form...he is getting older also!!!
