I am listening to Sirius Radio, and they were just talking about Free Agency, and the Miami Dolphins.
The NFL Insider (Adam Scheffter I believe) said that the Fins are going to go heavy after Dielman, and might pursue Joey Porter if he returns the interest. Otherwise, Miami will not load up on "top tier" free agents, unless of course the two sides could agree on a reasonable contract.. Said that Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller both believe that they need to add a stabilizing presence on offense (named Luke Petitgout, and Joe Horn as a possibilities), and that they will probably load up on younger gys that still have a load of potential (mentioned Kelly Washington visiting, as well as heavy interest in Napolean Harris,Roderick Hood, Antwan Peek, and Bethel Johnson).
Said that Mueller and Cam are more interested in filling the bigger holes through the draft.
Scheffter then said that now that Clements as signed, you will start to see more interest in CBs. Everybody was waiting to see what Clements did before they began to negotiate their deals.
Expect only 3 teams to be heavily involved in FA; Denver,Cleveland, and San Francisco. They won't get all the big names, but those teams feel they can improve quicker through Free Agency.
Feels Steinbach and Dockery were both extremely overpaid, and that Deilman will be as well. All 3 will be getting as much, if not more, money that Steve Hutchinson got last year, and none of the 3 are even close to being on his level.
Seahawks want Dielman bad, but won't "go overboard" on giving him a contract.
Joey Porter has gotten interest from 6 teams most noteably Miami and both New York teams. Contrary to popular belief, Porter never played under Capers (when Joey entered the league, Capers was with Jacksonville). However, Porter might favor Miami due to similar defenses. Porter will start touring as early as Sunday.
Donte Stallworth is being heavily pursued by San Fran, but if Adalius Thomas is signed, expect the interest to fade a bit.
Cato June is visiting the Giants, but it is unknown after that.
Denver is willing to do whatever it takes to get Patrick Kearney to sign with them. Daniel Graham also wants to sign with hi hometown team, but Denver's number 1 priority is Kearney. If Denver can't trade for Willis McGahee, they will sign Ahman Green.
Leonard Davis is getting a lot of interest from both Dallas, and Washington but those teams want him to play guard while he wants to play tackle.
Expect more signings later tonight, and early tomarrow morning
