What do we gotta do to get a pick-6 around here?

When was the last time we had a DB take an INT to the house? And don't say Jason Taylor. I'm talking DBs here. I'm thinking it was in 2003 when Madison jumped rookie Bryon Leftwich and took it to the house for the game winning TD. I could be wrong, but if it has happened since then, I dont remember.

I'm starting to envy the talented CBs and Safeties around the league. Especially since we used to have a whole flock of them. Then, one by one, they all disappeared. I can still recall the way I felt when I was Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison, Brock Marion, and Sammy Knight all lined up in our secondary. It was the best secondary you could ask for. It wasn't out of line to expect 3 ints in every game.

But now. Oh! but now. Now things are different. Now we are lucky to get a tipped INT in every other game.

And now, with a new coach that is offensive oriented, will Mueller have the balls to take a CB on the first day? If not this year, then even next year.
I'm just asking for a pick-6, or maybe 10 of them.

Someone took a pick to the house against Carolina two years ago to win the game. His name, just right now, slipped my mind. I hate it when that happens.

Anyway Leon Hall is the highest rated Cb in the draft and he's a shrimp. We have enough shrimps. The Jags made us look like a pee wee secondary llast year.

Was it Schulters?

Yep, I agree, IF the Phins are gonna go defense, they should pick Landry and move Allen to CB. I was against this at first, but, the more I think about it the more sense it makes.

Personally, I'm hoping Quinn falls to 9.

GO PHINS~!

Screw the pick-6, we just need turnovers!

Sorry, a turnover is just a turnover. Anyone can get a turnover. But a pick-6 is almost always due to an anticipation by a very instinctive talented athlete.

I apologize. I completely failed to reason that our current secondary, with it's impressive total of 8 interceptions, was well above and beyond "anyone" status.

Jason Taylor lead the team in interceptions. Despite our impressive forced fumble category, we did absolute jack with creating turnovers in the secondary. I'd settle for athletes of "anyone" status over 2006 Miami DBs, let alone those who are instinctive and talented enough to return an interception for a touchdown.

I will be happy if we drafted a cb or s.Who ever we take needs to be the best player on the board i dont care who it is or what position he plays.Draft the best player. In recent past we have drafted for need and not the best player.

I was at that game (traveled from Houston) and it was Lance Schulters. It wasn't a pick-6 but a pick to set up the winning FG. Great game to be at!
