I'm about 5 hours from ****s-burgh and it would cost about $500 with a hotel tomorrow and everything. Should I go witness a dolphins playoff game firsthand?? Seeing as how a playoff spot is coveted and we've had a decent drought, I feel like I gotta go.
I'll just say I take losses very hard, and that drive home Sunday could be a tough one. What do I do?!?

Go. I saw Miami lose to SD in the '94 playoffs and my drive back to Ventura was a long one. But, man what an electric enviornment! Much more intense than any regular season game I've ever gone to. Seen the Seahawks a couple times in playoff games too and it's probably just as intense in Pittsburgh.

Its simple. You're close. That price is worthy if you can afford it.

We have had a Cinderella season....so I dont wanna hear how hard you take losses...we are lucky to be here. You can remind yourself that during any adversity you experience. How do you think it feels to be EXPECTED to make the championship game/superbowl and lose? IF WE DO lose....this is the time when it will be the LEAST painful.

On that basis alone I'd say you must go.

If you go - please take pictures and come back to this thread and share regardless of the outcome. I wish I could go. If we somehow play the Raiders in the championship game I'd be going to Oakland thats for damn sure..

I've only seen the Dolphins in the playoffs once in my life, in 2008 against the Ravens. I went to that game, and they got smashed at home, but it was an awesome experience regardless.

If you can do it, do it. It's a rare sight these days to see the Dolphins in the playoffs. Cherish it, and if they manage to win, it'll make that experience all the much sweeter.

Sometimes you just got to go for it. Playoffs, Dolphins. I would go if i was close enough. Lets go get a win on sunday Dolphins. It would be a great experience no matter what. My first miami game we lost 21-0 in SF.
Seen 4 games since and all wins.

I was gonna make one of these threads. I'm less than 1 hour from Heinz Field. I was at the last game we played up here. 2013, Tannys first snow game. It was really cold that day too but it felt so good walking out after we won.

I've been to the last 2 games we've played up here but my hesitation is how cold it's gonna be and how much of an underdog we are. Gonna suck if we lose.

my playoff record is 2-3, losing to San Diego in 81 the epic has the potential to feel like this one, we were on the verge of going to championship games in the next few years. So while I was upset about the game I think we would've gotten destroyed in Cincy in the ice bowl the following week. And we were a young building team like I feel this one is. Worse loss was in 83 hosting Seattle in Marinos rookie year, no way we should've lost that game, I can still remember Fulton Walker fumbling the game away. So if you can make it go, you might see an upset that they will talk about for years to come. Go for it

Haven't seen the playoffs in 8 years. These things can be once or twice a lifetime. Go. This team will fight and claw. Go.

All on if you have the funds.

Don't put yourself in a unnecessary financial hole for a football game when you can have just as much fun at home watching for free. Hell keep the computer next to you and either follow the Gameday thread on here or sign up for VIP and follow via chat. Beats going to a sports bar with a bunch of people you don't know who probably aren't Dolphin fans anyways.

GOOOOOOOO we need as many fin fans there as we can get

If you can afford it, GO.

Dress in multiple layers, with Dolphins gear on top. Cheer our boys on. Enjoy as many beverages as you'd like.

Have a thick skin. You will be called tons of impolite names by drunken yinzers. :chuckle: It felt all the sweeter walking out after the last snow game - Drunkenly belting out the fight song as off-key as possible at full volume!!!

Enjoy!
