TO in Miami (x2)

Ricky and Terrell are nowhere near the same situation. Ricky wasn't a locker room cancer, he made a selfish decision but he was never a problem while IN the locker room.

I agree with the differnces in the 2 guys

But I think his point was saban gets in the heads of players well

Not that the situation is the same at all

It's also like the third time I've heard it today.

well... it was news to me...

Again, you all forget, most likely since we're all in our honeymoons with Saban, that Andy Reid, a solid coach, and an Eagles team with few inner problems were unable to sway T.O.

If Reid couldn't do it, I don't know if Saban can, even if he is a better coach.

Wide Receiver isn't even our most pressing issue right now. I'd worry about getting T.O. AFTER we fix our secondary, add a few people on the line, and address the QB issue. And then I'd still say no.

He should have been in LA watching Kobe put up 81 points!! I seriously doubt it's anything other then watching a basketball game. He loves Basketball and was seriously thinking of joining the Minn, Timberwolves at one point. I wouldn't think TO will be a fin. I honestly think TO will be a Cowboy. His need to feed his ego is too strong and a chance to stick it to the Eagles twice a year will very tempting. Plus J.Jone will dish out the biggest signing bonus to sign him.

WOW I thought u were exaggerating til i looked at the boxscore! That's insane

Andy Reid has nothing to do with the money the Eagles spend. They are notoriously cheap, and unwilling to spend one dime more then they have too. Once the money issue arrose the TO situation exploded. It was out of Andy Reids hands. TO was pissed he was the best player on the Eagles, broke his ankle and rehabed in time to make the SB and was the best palyer on the Eagles during the SB. Instead of the Eagles realizing TO deseved to renegotiate his contract they flat out refused to even discuss it and told TO, you can out perform your contract all you want we won't pay you another dime.

I don't know about you guy's but no contract is set in stone and if a guy comes in and plays lights out you atleast should listen to what the guy has in mind before you dismiss him. That was the heart and soul to the TO situation. You guys can hate TO all you want but he wanted nothing more then to be paid and treated as one of the best players in the NFL and he did everything in one season any player could do to earn at least a chance to plead his case for a raise. He never got that, one thing lead to another and TO made some bad decisions.Thats all, whatever team gets TO will get one hell of a WR. I live in south Jersey just across the Walt Whitman Bridge and I've have seen the argument from both side on an in depth basis.

The Eagles organization droped the ball on this one again and I blame them for this outcome. I'm not saying TO couldn't have made the situation better, what I am saying is the Eagles didn't mind all the money they got from the fans and a SB apperence that was directly linked to that one signing, but they didn't feel anyone needed more money except them. If the fins had a shot at Nick Saban and the owner felt he didn't want to spend the money to get him how would you feel. It's really that simple.

I feel so sorry for T.O. He had just inked a new contract (7 years, 49 million dollars) the year before, how dare they don't renegotiate and give him millions more dollars to complain and backstab his teammates.

T.O. Sighting In Miami

I was watching the Miami Heat game against the Sacramento Kings! and guess who was sitting court side? Mr. T. Owens himself.. now i ask myself, maybe you guys could share your thoughts as well.

Was it just simple coincidence, about a week ago Coach Saban comes out and expresses interest in T.O. I know this is Miami & everyone wants a piece of the night life. i think i smell something "FISHY"... and it isn't the dried up bait off the pier on Hallandale.

Yeah, he's the best WR in the game and isn't paid that way!! If you were the best at what you did wouldn't you wan to be paid that way?? It's not as simple as the contract he signed or the amount. The QB's make twice that much, if another million would have made TO happy wouldn't it have been worth it to just pay him?? And keep him happy and move on?? I mean how much money do you think the Eagles made off him. Besides he signed a 7 year 49 million dollar contract he's 32, do you honestly think he would be around to collect on that backloaded contract, get real. He wouldn't have seen half that contract.

he own's a beach house in miami.. spends alot of time there on his off season.. probably meaningless

T.O. drops a lot of balls for the "best WR in the game". I ain't denying he has skills but he also drops quite a few balls.

If he had a problem with the first contract, why the hell did he sign it? Hell, maybe Baltimore would have given him a fatassed contract if he hadn't whined and cried about not wanting to play over there.

BTW, Terrell Owens, as of the beginning of this season, was the third highest paid WR in the NFL, and the two receivers he was paid less than (Harrison and Moss) I would take over him in a heartbeat.
