To me, this is a big knock on Ireland as well

Damn, you know the fans are fed UP, when they're calling for Dawn Aponte's head

These players just need time to succeed, it takes 4-6 years for a drafted player to hit his stride and FA aquisitions need years to become acclimated to the system. Keep paying these men who struggles hoof and claw to treach 7 wins and in 2-3 years it will all payoff. Patience please.

Actually Ireland has improved the cap situation. Years before Ireland even came here, the team had to cut numerous players just to get under the cap. The situation has improved the past few years. You can blame Ireland for a lot of things, but the cap? Don't think so.

Ireland didn't take over as GM yesterday, he took over in 08. That was four years ago already. Over that time frame how many big God awful contracts has he handed out to useless players that are now gone? I can think of three or four just off the top of my head. Therefore he is responsible for a great deal of the dead money on our balance sheets.
Again, the roster at the moment has very little in the way of any special talent, but the guy responsible for doling out the dollars over the last four years has nothing to do with our bad cap situation? I would say given the circumstances of how crappy the team looks at the moment we should have as much cap room as anybody, wouldn't you?

He doesn't deserve any share of the blame for money from guys like Gibril Wilson, Jake Grove, and maybe even Justin Smiley still being on the books? Come on, dude. You're better than that.
