With the loss of 4 offensive linemen (veterans) we now have Shelton, Hadnot, Carey who are ''sure shots'' starters... Alabi and Toledo are up for the other two spots for now... Qb isn't settled, Wr are shaky, LB are ''old'' , Dt are old....you get the picture

We have some pressing needs ( Qb, OL, DT, WR, and secondary seems like a problem for some ) and could need some youth/depth at all other positions.... My question is, with 9 draft picks, do we trade up for quinn and get less players for our roster depth/youth.... or do we keep our picks, take a Qb in 2nd or 3rd and get as many rookies as we can...... hard to tell, but both scenarios seem likely for our team

Randy Mueller clearly told he wanted quantity over quality.... but at what point? is sacrificing a pick stupid or worthy for quinn ???? I think this question is the main focus of our offseason because it will determine the outcome of our 07 team

Cam Cameron has been known for develloping those pass throwers... he did it with brees and first rounder Rivers...will he be able to do so with 2nd and 3rd round players ? Im sick of having a new number under center every year and i think my frustration is shared by you all, and maybe this frustration has us insecure about the idea of not getting quinn.... We mostly think that if we don't get him, we'll get another flop, just because it happened so often, but people don't realize that we have a guru Qb Coach and that is as much important as having a big name...

thoughts anyone ?

The problem is with getting Quinn is that we are probably going to have to trade up to get him. He's going to go top 7 because there are so many people ahead of us trying to get a QB. If he's there at 9 i think we should take him but if he's not it's not the end of the world.

I'd rather trade up for Calvin Johnson if the best player in the draft actually falls to 4 and Tampa isn't going to attempt to stick it to us with out vaseline.

But, if Mueller where to make a play for Quinn, I wouldn't be upset my any means. The move is not crazy.

I would rather not trade up for Quinn. I'd take him in a heatbeat if he fell, maybe shop him around a bit see if someone's willing to give up the farm to come up because I have no problem selecting Drew Stanton 40th overall.

Stanton's not gonna be there at 40....I'd take him there too but I think he'll be gone earlier than that....but if we miss on both those guys I can see us taking a QB in round 3 or 4.

Ozzy rules!!

I would take Quinn if he fell to us at 9, but I would not trade up for him. We need all the picks we can get. There are other options at QB in the later rounds.

I think Stanton will definitely be there at 40, and even if he is I would prefer we took someone else with that pick. The earliest I would feel comfortable taking him is with the 2nd rounder at the end of the round we got from the Pats.

I dunno dude. Stanton has improved his stock and the majority of teams picking ahead of us have QB problems. If at 40 he's iffy, at 60 he's nonexsistent.

Trading up for Quinn I might be able to stomach if it's a fair trade.

This quote makes me sick. Really, who says that??? So He'd take 10 Steve Debergs over 1 Dan Marino??? I hope Mueller isn't really that stupid. Trade up, get Quinn. Aim for pick number 5 with the cards. They'd probably give us the pick plus their 3rd rounder knowing the Bidwells.

Levi Brown = Vernon Carey. He's definitely NOT worth the number 9 pick.
