I would be happy with a redux of the 08 Fins with the exception of having either a cool-hand, live armed Henne rising from the dead Lazarus-style, or another strong armed QB delivering us into the playoffs instead of ol Noodle Arm

Good point there will be arm chair do betters no matter how well your team plays. Of course IMO that is part of being a fan second guessing on how you could do it better. But IMO only to a point. Booing your QB does not help etc.
Miami has always had a fickle fan base IMO even in the Shula days they would only turn out if the team was on a extremly good winning streak. I remember Hugh Green who played at Tampa Bay and later the Dolphins making comments on much more fan friendly Tampa Bay was than Miami and that was when Tampa was constantly loosing.

? You pollyannas have the strangest logic. You don't even need to look at other teams to see that the way our team is currently run is unacceptably incompetent. Being a fan of the Miami Dolphins and our illustrious history means we should demand more from our current team. Watching Shula and the parade of elite players who have worn our colors should give us a sense of what should be expected. What is now and has been this entire decade falls way, way short of that.
Personally, I hate incompetently run organizations from owner to coach. Much more so than a roster lacking talent. In any sport. That's why I do admire watching other teams making intelligent, gutsy moves. While I look at our own team and feel nothing but trepidation at Ross and his strangely tmz centric approach to running a team. Then Ireland and Sparano disgust me with their gutlessness and profoundly confused handling of certain positions on our team. Win or lose I like to get a sense that my team is at least making an intelligent attempt at winning.
