To those saying they won't watch Fins games after the 74 signing

If he has to come in to replace someone for an injury then that’s understandable he’s the 8th/9th OL and will be active on game days and I’m fine with that.

However, if they don’t sign anyone else or draft someone with the intention of making them a starter this year and they go into the season trusting Eichenberg to start, then I will not watch a single snap until he’s replaced. I refuse to support one more second of insanity and mental retardation.

Well I’ve cancelled my game pass subscription already. I’m not paying hundreds of pounds and taking 4/5 days off work again to watch yet another piss poor OL. Enough is enough.
Understood. With where you are located, the cost, and time involved, totally understandable. For the guys here in the States saying they won't watch....

see you on 9/7/25.

The loyal stay loyal.

At the end of the day, It's just a game of chance played by millionaires.
I’ve been a loyal fan my entire life. If they continue to repay the tens of thousands of dollars I’ve spent on merchandise tickets etc by trotting this abomination of a player out as a starter then they are spitting in the face of me and every other Fins fan.

I’m not spending a single cent or watching a game if they don’t address the position thru the draft or sign a legitimate starting guard, which there aren’t many left.

I’ll watch when they replace him.

We all have free will. Do what makes you happy, there's no reason to be miserable. It's just a game. Ross our moron owner is responsible, but until he's no longer the owner, or until he cleans house, this billionaire Jets fan calls the shots, and we are left choosing to stay loyal, or not. Everyone is loyal until they're not.

After all these years of frustration, LE74 is the reason you're done in March, 6 months before opening day, a month until the draft, and 4.5 more months of free agency before training camp?

To each their own. Find what makes you happy man.

No but if we don’t address the position and Eichenberg is starting on 9/7 at 1 pm then that’s when I’m not supporting this team until he’s replaced.

Who is way worse than Liam Eichenberg? He’s as bad as it gets, Dallas Thomas level bad. Maybe you can argue slightly worse but way worse ? That’s a terrifying thought
I have it on good authority Eich is going to the Pro Bowl this year!!!

He's not playing but is going to watch how it SHOULD be done.

It's a long fvckn list man..off the top of my head....Jamil Douglas, DT, Jon Martin, Jesse Davis at LT, Marc Colombo, Damion McIntosh, Tyson Clabo....and the list goes on lol

I look at the contracts of players in the same positions and often think it is a way of telling what the team thinks. Last year there were so many DT signed that it was hard to tell who would be making the most snaps (I did not predict Calais as I think he was signed later in the year) but Gallimore made a bit more and I think the same as Benito and then there was Tart who was cut early and Hand etc.

Now for guards: Dolphins have Daniels at 2.6 signed for 3 years with Void years to lessen the hit. Looks like a definite starter

Borom comes in at 2.5 for 1 year = competing for a job
Eichenberg at 1.377 for 1 year = competing

Not sure they have any other guards on the roster right now so I would expect a few more for camp

With this I would be surprised if they do not draft one in the first 3 rounds

Also these numbers show that there was little interest in Borom or Eich so it looks like those 2 plus a rookie plus a couple more camp adds to compete for that second spot just like DT was happening last year before the Dolphins landed Calais!

There is also no guarantee a draft pick will outplay vets to win a job first year. Yet this looks like an easy competition for a rookie to win.

= Not worried at all at this point in who is the other guard is and will revisit this after the draft and then after training camp.

He’s a good scheme fit and knows the offense. McGenius knows this and he has a plan to get the most out of him as a starter.
