Don't gimme this **** that we have the worst fans in the league,

you hear of possible blackouts this year and you think we are the worst fans ever. Well let me ask you this? when was the last time we had a black out?

How about looking into when the last time there was blackouts in the NFL? Since your lazy *sses wont look ill just post it here in the last 10 years:

  • Eagles (2000)
  • Colts (2001)
  • Panthers (2002)
  • Seahawks (2002)
  • Saints (2004)
  • Cardinals (2005)
  • Falcons (2006)
  • Chiefs (2009)
  • Jaguars (2009)
  • Rams (2009)
  • Bengals (2010)
  • Bills (2010)
  • Chargers (2010)
  • Lions (2010)
  • Raiders (2010)
  • Buccaneers (2011)

So. Dont give me this garbage that we're the worst fan base around, every team has had ticket selling problems, at least our team hasnt had blackout in over a decade

F*** off critics

This is one of those stats don't tell the whole story kind of things. For example how many tickets has the ownership or TV station had to buy to keep this streak alive? How many tickets are bought and then sold to opposing fans? How many tickets are bought and the fan for that seat doesn't bother showing? What is the finfan to opponent fan ratio. I could go on...

I have seen tons of games where there are empty seats all over the place. I watch tons of games and most every team's home fans are rocking the stadium. When I watch games on surrond sound I usually have to turn down the volume when watching other games. For the fin games I gotta turn it up to get the full effect.

I know I am an outsider complaining here, but the Miami area is huge and for some reasons they can't come close to creating a homefield advantage at Dolphins Stadium.

Now throw out all the excuses why this is not a fan base issue, but everyone has economy issues, some teams suck too ect. This is just a fact that the fans around Miami just aren't really into sporting events and supporting their home team as much as other places in the country. It aint gonna change.

Somewhat agree. The Heat sold out every game last season, because they have a product worth seeing. The Dolphins for the first time in their history have competition in town. If you are a fan of both the Dolphins and Heat, but you only have money too see one... Is it really even a tough decision?

of course we sell out the network and opposing fans always buy the tickets

Well in my case I don't care for the NBA. I would never fork over money for that crap. Give some fins season tickets anyday.

PS. What do NBA stadiums seat? Maybe 20,000? I realize they have 40+ games but nightime events in an indoor stadium have something to do with it.

Cuban's aren't into football, they like soccer.

Wrong.
They love baseball.

Probably not the Marlins but some team like the Yankees or Cubs

Having a sold out game and actually filling the stadium are two very different things. The Dolphins "sellout" games all the time, yet you usually see thousands of empty seats every week. Local TV networks always try to buy remaining tickets so they can still show the game. If the Texans game is declared a "sellout" and it is not blacked out, it is not because there is suddenly a huge rush of Dolphins fans to the box office, it is because the TV stations bought the remaining the remaining tickets.

Also having sold out games is great but having a large amount of the fans showing up rooting for the opposing team is not so great. There were empty seats last night, but it was certainly a very full stadium last night. Likely because it was opening night and a prime time game. However, when 30% of those fans are Patriots fans there lies the problem. It isn't just because there are a lot of Pats fans, it happens every year with almost every fan base. The stadium was full of Bears fans last year when I was down. There year before it was full of Saint fans.

But what do I know, I am just an out of state fan. Apparently because I see what happens in other NFL towns means I have no idea what is a problem and what isn't. I guess it is acceptable in Miami to see their local teams allow opposing teams to use their stadiums as another home game. That certainly wouldn't fly in other parts of the country.
