Talked to a buddy of mine and he works for "Doctors Hospital" and basically told me that they will be announcing a corporate sponsorship with the team this afternoon. Not sure if they will rename the practice facility after them but thats what they have going on.

That is the problem with medicine. They are concerned more with profit than with the patient.

You'll get me started on a rant, and this isn't the proper forum. But I agree with you. I'm biased by a practitioner's perspective, but there are some key branch points in history where the people who do care about the patient (docs, nurses, etc.) irreversibly ceded control of hospital/insurance operations and policy to people who care about profit. The rest is history. As a relatively large managed care group proclaims, "xxx lets doctors be doctors." :)
