What is interesting though is that it states he is coming to be the Defensive Coordinator. All other reports had Pasqualoni being named Defensive Coordinator and Bowles as Secondary/Assistant Head Coach. The Cowboys have lost another assistant coach on Tuesday and could see two more head out the door as well.
As expected, secondary coach Todd Bowles, whose contract expired on Tuesday, is off to Miami where he is expected to be named the Dolphins' defensive coordinator.
Other coaches whose contracts are up are linebackers coach Paul Pasqualoni and defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers.
Bowles said he has offers from other clubs, including a defensive assistant position in Washington, but said Tuesday as he was leaving for the airport that he will go to Miami and reunite with new head coach Tony Sparano, who had been on the Cowboys staff since 2003.
Bowles also said the familiarity with the Miami front office - vice president of football operations Bill Parcells, general manager Jeff Ireland and assistant director of player personnel Brian Gaine - was a determining factor in his decision.
