Would be funny no doubt, but Matt Barkley would be a nice consolation prize. Barkley would be the consensus #1 in most drafts, this is just one of those crazy years where a player who's as close to can't-miss is sitting there. Luck is who I want obviously but I'd be just as stoked if we got Barkley.

If anything Barkley is the QB that would stay another year, as I think USC goes off probation after this year and he would have a chance at a Rose Bowl, Heisman, NC ala similar situation to Luck this season. Another kid who doesn't need the money to enter the NFL draft right away.

Doubtful they will contend just coming out of probation.

They got some players man . . . with Stanford losing Luck and Oregon losing James . . . it is possible.

I think IND would take Luck for sure. Manning is done and old now anyway.

maybe, but IMO they are more likely to trade down than Kansas City or Seattle. if you throw a package of players and picks at Indy, they might do it and still be able to pick another first-round QB like Landry Jones.
