Miami Dolphins

Round 1 (13): Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
Round 2 (42): Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Round 3 (73): Kenneth Dixon, RB, Louisiana Tech

Analysis: Mario Williams (31) and Cameron Wake (34) are both getting up there in age, so the Dolphins need to find a way to infuse some youth along their D-line in this draft. The more I watch Lawson, the more I love his game. It wasn't a fluke that he led the nation with 25.5 tackles for loss; he plays with a combination of quickness, power, technique and relentlessness that is hard to stifle. Fuller and Dixon would both fill two of the Dolphins' bigger needs entering the draft.

Side Note stuff

New York Jets

Round 1 (20): Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
Round 2 (51): Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky
Round 3 (83): Joshua Perry, ILB, Ohio State

Analysis: We downgraded Hargreaves a bit due to his less-than-ideal measurables (5-foot-10 frame and 30 5/8-inch arms), but he has the aggressiveness and confidence to develop into a quality starting CB on the outside. The Jets need one of those to play opposite Darrelle Revis after cutting Antonio Cromartie. Spence fell to the second round here because of his off-field mishaps, but he has skill set to develop into an impact pass-rusher in the NFL.

Eilliot went #8
Jackson III went #25
Apple went #33

I do not think Fuller fits what they want to do on D.

I have gone back and forth on Lawson. Big guy, great attitude, tough...but I think he is limited physically and where is his upside to get that much better. I would stay clear.

Could you imagine the chaos on FH if we pass on Hargreaves at #13 and he lands in New York at #20?

If Hargreaves is there, he better be the pick.

so a 1 year production de and a off man and zone scheme corner

ehhh

seen a lot of Kenneth Dixon round two stuff...that's too rich for my blood

With mocks like that, I am surprised ESPN insider subscriptions aren't flying off the shelves!

I swear almost every new mock all of a sudden wants to mock Shaq to us.

These dudes alll just copy each work. This Would be a highly disappointing draft for me, but something like this will probably happen since I liked last years draft so much.

I thought you were going to say, can you imagine if we picked a DE. Similar things, I suppose. Not that we don't have a need, but it doesn't seem the right draft for it. And let's not forget the "story" is we already upgraded the position in FA.

I have not seen one mock yet where Miami picks a player I want. Not One, Counting NFL Network and ESPN.

...If Hargreaves is there, he better be the pick.

Why? Because we need a corner? I would wait and take one later. No need to force it. Go with impact player at 13. Someone who is going to make a difference.

if apple is still on the board come round 2 I will eat my shoe...press scheme ideal fit or not

If Hargreaves last til 20, wouldn't that confirm at 13, it would be a reach?

With the moronic trade out of 8, I at this point rather trade down further and get the Oline help needed and extra picks.

I've seen alot of mocks where Apple is picked in the 20s.

I love how DJ makes mocks and they're available for everyone, but then Kiper and Mcshay make one and you gotta pay a fee to see them. I appreciate you posting this here for us to see.
