Just said dolphins had top 5 draft and he is a big believer in tannehill. and says we have added a lot of speed... Likkes the Fins draft alot...

woohoo. Tend to agree with him more than Mel these days, but that's not saying much. Good to hear something positive for once though.

we filled some needs with some really good prospects, on paper it looks really good. Say what you will about Ireland, but I've always thought he was a great talent evaluator and when The Tuna wasn't breathing down his neck or forcing picks on him (Pat White), he (Ireland) has done well. With Philbin and Sherman's input this year, I think they make a pretty good team... at least for this draft anyways.

Again it's all on paper right now, how these guys pan out in the NFL is yet to be seen. I'm happy with what they've done.

I caught the end of it and noticed the fins at 5..

Anybody have the full video?

McShay sucks, don't give a flock what he says.

I don't give much to "draft grades" or who had the best draft right after a draft is had. We'll see how good it is when these kids get on the field and play. I thought our draft in 2008 was decent and we only have 1 player left from that draft. Let's just hope this staff develops players instead of throwing them to the trash heap and not investing any time in them.

McShay has said that T-Hill has the potential to end up the best QB in the draft. But then again, I'm not really a fan of him or his opinions, considering he thought that Sanchez was a top 10 pick too...so it's all relative and with these bozos, easy to pick and parse based on what you want to hear.

Personally, I place more credibility in the guy who took PManning over Leaf and successfully built 3 franchises (unlike our own Tuna and his pretensions) as indicated in my sig. :idk:

Interestingly, and yes I know all of these rankings are BS, The National Football Post ranks Tannehill (7.0) closer to RG3 (7.5) than RG 3 to Luck (9.0)

You can't evaluate a draft this soon.

Our last two drafts may still turn out to be GREAT drafts depending on how some of those players develope.

Media guys get paid to write and talk on a daily basis.

Mike Mayock and Bill Polian like Tannehill. That is good enough for me but the proof will be what he can do on the field. I'm excited to see what he can do.

And a 7.0D on NFP is:

7.0 Becomes a starter during his rookie year… Becomes a solid NFL player who has no real weakness… Can’t be exploited or consistently taken out of games.
D This prospect has NO weakness in any critical factors, but will need time and development in order to fulfill his potential.

Interesting you brought up Bill Polian and Bobby Bethard. I was watching NFLN this morning and they were portraying the difficulties of dealing with the top pick and they had an excellent segment on Manning and Leaf. Bethard really wanted Manning as well but settled for Leaf and his describing the end result was a great watch. He talked of some of the BS Leaf put them through and it was as if I could feel the emotion coming out of him. Catch it if you get a chance.

There are a lot of analysts that like the Tannehill pick including the guys I listen closest to, Mayock and Wes Bunting. Don't care for McShay or Kiper. No doubt Tannehill has a ton of potential but the transition to the NFL is not easy.

The BS the players put the Evaluators through is why they evaluate in the first place- a good evalutaor sees through the player - and today Ireland still gets crap for asking probing questions to Dez B. and Dez with lil to no emotional intelligence - proved himself to the public why he was a poor choice -

Mcshay seems to provide more analysis than Mel. At the end of the day, no one knows for sure and time will tell.
