Toledo starting?

I didnt no Toledo was practiceing with the first team at RG.Thats a bit of a suprise to me.I also read that he has been really impressive so far.Toledo could be the steel of the forth round for us.Hes a monster.Anyone think he could be the starter for us at RG this year?

I sure hope so. I really never like a rookie starting on the offensive line, especially one drafted in the 4th round. That is the biggest weak spot on the offense and maybe the whole team is the RG spot. I'm sure Houck will get it squared away however.

He wasnt 1 of our first string lineman.So that doesnt matter.

I think no matter who Houck sends out there will do a great job.With Houcks help Toledo could be a beast and i would love to see him start if he earns it.Toledo was projected to go higher then the forth round and i bet you Houck helped Saban out alittle when it came down to who they picked for the O-line.Toledo has lots of raw talent and hes big and strong.

Uh, Seth McKinney is injured and Bennie Anderson is out of shape yet so that is the ONLY reason Toledo is practicing with the first team at RG.

yeah i rekon he could deffinantly start for us he certainly has the size to do it im just not sure of wether or not his technique qould be up to scratch as of yet but if the coaches are comfortable with his ability to star then sure why not

When I first saw we selected an OL I was like dang! we should have selected an OLB, but with all the reports of TC, I'm starting to like this pick more more, and if he can make it to the first team I'll be very happy:D

Sometimes, with how people overreact to the tiniest things at TC out here on the boards, I just shake my head at what reactionary goofs fans can be. Good Lord, with Anderson AND McKinney in front of him, people see a glimpse of Toledo and assume he's our starter?

Now watch him go and become our starter after I said that.

p.s. - with the overreaction and overanalysis that goes on here, I am thankful the Phins still allow fans in to watch training camp when it's obvious we don't understand what's going on half of the time. I'm as guilty of it as anyone, by the way.

Maybe he's also good. I know he's big and I understand he's more athletic and mobile than McKinney and Anderson.
Wouldn't surprise me at all to see this guy become the starter by midseason.

I've said it since the draft, Toledo was my favorite pick. Whether he starts or not is another thing, but the way Houck's training techniques make everyone start from the beginning, you never know.
