Not only huge but agile enough that he played TE until his senior year. I think he will make a great pulling guard in a year or two. Not sure he has enough quickness to make it as a tackle but man would it be scary to see him pulling out in front of Ronnie for the next few years. THAT would give some LBs around the AFC East some nightmares. Of course Fred Beasley would be out front also. Spikes, Vilma, and the whole Pats LBs might all apply for early retirement. lol

I doubt it. At least not early in the season. I expect him to need a year's seasoning to be ready. Hope I'm wrong.

Has the size and skills, but first year OL rarely contribute much. Needs a year under Houck's tutelage. Mybe second half of the season he'll see some playing time, hope so.

He barely played O-line in college, you cant expect him to block NFL quality D-lineman his first year, but I think he has tons of talent for the future

Probably not, but it would be very nice if he could. As pointed out earlier, he hasn't got hardly any experince in the position, and it's hard enough making the jump from college to the pros in a position you are used to. He does have the body and physical skills, he should be there in a year, maybe less (I hope!).

DO you guys see Saban sticking him in on goal line situations to try to confuse defenses? (A la Vrabel)

I'm not convinced that he will ONLY play guard with us.

In previous posts I said that I can't wait for the first time he checks in with the ref as an eligible reciever. If he does play this year, I wouldn't be suprised if its in that capacity.

I remember that and meant to ask you why you felt that way..I know less than nothing about Toledo. Is that something he did in college? AND was he any good?

He's good enough to contribute but I'm not sure how much or in what capacity. Maybe in goal line or short yardage situations. He could even line up in the backfield as a lead blocker. You could have Bennie Anderson and Vernon Carey on the right side with Joe Toledo leading Ronnie Brown to the line. :)

...because he played TE in college before moving to OT

I think this guy will be one of the surprises of camp. By the end of the year I think he will be a starting guard.
