TOTAL speculation (but that is what we do around here) on this. Would you rather have Tom Clements or Mike Sherman as OC. I have at first said Tom Clements, but now I am leaning Mike Sherman...if Sherman does not get the TB job.

Sherman could mentor Philbin as a new HC as Sherman brought Philbin into Green Bay years ago. Things such as managing the team to clock management to offensive play calling Sherman could help with. Sherman is a proven developer of QB's. He is a former OC even of the Houston Texans for a year. A side note too...Sherman has the pulse of college football after his mixed stint at A+M.

I like Clements...would be happy with that, but I would love Sherman...he would be a huge hire.

I think Green Bay will make the choice easy for us by keeping Clements.

I like them both, doesn't matter

I am actually watching the Tampa coaching search with a ton of interest. I think Sherman could come to Miami if he is not named TB's coach.

Edgar Bennett is another name to keep an eye on.

I'd rather have Clements

The last thing we need is an ex-Head Coach in Sherman breathing down Philbin's neck every time we lose

I know Mike Nolan was a former HC but I don't think anybody seriously considered him ever taking the HC spot

You realize Sherman and Philbin are BEST friends. Sherman gave Philbin his big coaching break and they are close, very close!

Right. That still doesn't stop business decisions from being made. Parcells and Sparano were "friends" yet Parcells left him high and dry

I think Philbin has earned the right to wear his big boy pants and lead the Dolphins. He is the mentor to those on the staff and players on the field.

Tom Clements, hands down and Winston Moss as DC. Although I am totally against the Philbin hire, I am a Dolphin fan first and foremost and I want to see this team WIN. I think Dolphin fans will finally see an offense on this team which is something we have not seen since 1995. My concern is on defense now that Mike Nolan is gone, even though they players are there.

Yeah Parcells didn't leave him high and dry he left him with Jeff Ireland LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish someone would leave me high and dry with a multi-million dollar job

Mike Sherman is available now. Go land him Joe. He will be our best OC in a number of years.
