I was thinking about a few things and I have a question. Who are Tom Condon prior players and how did he neo with the teams. Is he a shark? a push over? is he tough? I think alot will have to do with him and most of us are focused on JL, I just wanted a little more insight on Condon the Agent. Thanks in advance!

Named by The Sporting News the “most powerful agent in any sport” and second only to Commissioner Paul Tagliabue in the NFL

Tom Condon, now with Creative Artists Agency, is universally regarded as the most powerful agent in the NFL and he has led IMG Football’s representation of more first-round NFL draft picks than any other agency, including 33 since 1997. He negotiated the richest contract in NFL history for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning - a $98 million deal, including a record $34 million signing bonus, and has negotiated 7 contracts with at least $20 Million in guaranteed money. He represents 75 current NFL players and several top NFL draft prospects. Tom was also a starting guard in the NFL for 12 seasons and is a licensed attorney at law.

His list of major clients has included some very famous names:
• Peyton Manning
• Eli Manning
• Marvin Harrison
• Simeon Rice
• LaDainian Tomlinson
• Chad Pennington

He could care LESS what other agents think of him

He's one of the most experienced agents (older) around and a maverick. If anyone, and I mean ANYONE, was going to negotiate an overall first round selection where the player got LESS money than last year's QB contract for Jamarcus Russel, it would be CONDON.

He could care LESS what other agents think of him. Besides, either JAKE LONG takes 1st overall money from the Phins or he takes number two overall money from the RAMS. Which do YOU think will be more?

Condon is no fool.

Im not to sure of that. I would think it is harder to sign Long just because he is a client of Condon. Condon last year had Quinn holdout after he was picked in the 20's

If the FO is doing what they are reportedly doing, which is saying here is what we are prepared to pay our overall #1 pick, who wants it ? It could be putting agents in a very tough spot. If they all say no, the we probably are stuck and end up paying something higher and possible holdout. If one goes outside of ranks and has their client accept this, it then puts the bargaining cap on everyone else under that amount. So it's a big risk for them to say no. Rumor is that Chris Long's agent is the most likely to agree to this from us, but who knows what discussions are taking place between agents on this. Not supposed to be happening, but you know it probably does. It would be best for us if that were true, because then other agents would realize this as well and then they'd all want to cut a better deal to get in at the #1 spot.

So this guy it sounds to me is a top dog. Do alot of his clients holdout? I like most of you don't want a holdout situation this year.
