Does anyone know if he is going to accept an invitation to interview for the position? I really think he would be a big score if we can land him. I hope he at least agrees to an interview, I read that he was number one on Ross's list and haven't heard anything since.
 
yeah, tricked again. Gamble camp says no one has contacted him.

Looking for a yes man, who will report directly to Ross........with dawn peeking around the corner with more power.

I thought Ross said that the GM will have autonomy over the roster?

yeah, that means you do the roster, shut your mouth on contracts and other affairs that Dawn will handle. But when it comes time when people bitch about you overspending on said player, you keep your mouth shut and just take it like a man!

I understand politics. Its a nasty world.

People will think I am defending Ireland, but I am just sick to my stomach in what I believe is happening to this franchise.

people want to take sides? fine. Thats not my angle here. My angle is be careful about who you think is the evil one, you just might be surprised one day to find egg on your face.

If people cannot read what is going on here, I dont know what to tell you. Everyone is overjoyed for getting rid of Ireland. Well, who's next? Who in their right mind or any serious candidate for this job wants this situation?

In other words you've convinced yourself of the worst and believe in much of the false reporting (which is evident) by some. Take you're own advice and be careful about thinking everyone is evil in this franchise...you might find egg on your face one day.

A lot of false and bad reporting going on. Ross has cleared a lot up tonight with his statement.

Sheesh for once I'm going to agree with Omar on something...

Fans will pick out a name they like, convinced themselves that that person is the savior, and refuse to look at other candidates.

While a great candidate Tom Gamble is not the only candidate out there.
 
It's not the candidates that upsets me, it's the process. I can't believe smart people on this board actually think this is a normal situation! I bleed aqua and orange but I think we are so used to dysfunction that you guys don't notice this!

So just to be clear:

January 6th, 2014- "This franchise is 1 step away from greatness, we are doing the right things all the way around, and everyone should stay."
After January 7th, 2014-"This franchise is in the dumpster and has totally fallen from grace! Im sick to my stomach at how far we have fallen! JUST OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ WHATS GOING ON! No one will ever want to work for us again!!!!"

Yup, clearly no interest in defending Ireland whatsoever.

Interviews will begin tomorrow morning, assuming they are starting at 9am est you have roughly 11 more hours to fear monger. Go nuts.
 
The problem is many are believing the speculation from the media as if it was fact. They believed that Miami would be going after Mangini as GM, or Pioli, or Tannenbaum, or Gamble when the organization issued no such statement so when the names they initially heard from the media aren't mentioned by the club somehow the club is at fault and they're lying and looking for a yes man and blah, blah, blah. Seriously, the hate being spewed right now is unwarranted. You want to be mad at someone get mad and the people putting out the false reports and trying to pass it off as fact.

Like La Confora saying we're going after Gamble because Ross still wants Harbaugh or Armando Salguero trying to scare everyone into thinking we're really interested in Mangini, Tannenbaum or Pioli for GM because he's upset Ireland was fired. If some of you would display a little patience and let the process unfold you'll see the truth revealed instead of jumping to conclusions or falling for the opinionated reporting by the media trying to pass it off as facts.

I wasnt defending Ireland. I was for defending my soon to be 3rd year QB to have some continuity in order to get to the next level. But based on what we have heard these past few days, there is a lot more here than meets the eye.

So love your half measure Spesh. Awesome.

Wonder what the players are thinking when they read this ****. I cant say if I were RT, I would be sitting there thinking things are looking up.

But we will see Spesh. We will see. Just how good of candidates we get in here, and just how much someone who has any track record of success will end up here. Not feeling good about it. Sorry. Its how I feel. It has nothing to do with Ireland. In fact, Ireland is probably feeling like a very free man these days. Good for him. They rubbed him out. Mr. Ireland, bad guy. Very bad man.
