San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith will meet with the media at noon pacific time on Thursday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune, and the primary topic is likely to be the future of running back LaDainian Tomlinson with the organization.
Smith has been fairly quiet to the media during the past week, as the team's scouts dissected the NFL combine performances and the Chargers assistant GM was slated to meet with Tom Condon, agent for Tomlinson. According to the Union-Tribune, Smith will likely also discuss injuries, free agency and the draft. Tomlinson is due a base salary of $6.725 million in 2009, and has been reportedly asked to take a voluntary pay cut.
