When the lockout ended and all the transactions were finished the media and experts started to chime in with their predictions and opinions on this team, and for the most part they were not good, I have heard and seen 2-14, 5-11, 6-10, so we adopted this us vs the world mentality and went into Monday night a big underdog and not really given a chance to win, although the game was closer than the score shows (could have been 31-24 with 6 mins left) for the most part the media was proven right, now we go into tomorrows game against another team who is a sexy superbowl pick with a high-powered offense, ESPN, NFLN, and all the other media outlets have picked us to lose again, well now is the time for this team to show some character and man up and make a statement, our defense was embarrassed on Monday night and it's time for them to re-group and show we are still a top 5 defense, it's time to get this running game going with Bush and Thomas, it's time to show some character and right the ship and see what this team is made of, because if we lose sunday, we will be looking at 0-2 traveling to San Diego next week and could be staring at 0-3 real fast, so this team has to man up and reach deep down inside and get this W!

We play Cleveland next week then San Diego but 2-2 at the break would be nice.

I agree, but isn't it sad to be hoping to be .500? I am going to be really bummed if they don't come out ON FIRE for the Texans.

I hate to do stuff like this, but this weeks game is definitely a must win. We got humiliated on national TV by our division rival. If we don't come out and win this game the season might be over before it begins.

yeah tomorrow is a true test for the defense, they must show up, it will be a nice defensive game

3-1 at the break or I'm pretty much going to start looking at this as an evaluation year and look forward to the new regime. It's amazing how everytime this regime fixes something, they create a new problem which wasn't there before.

Not being ready to play in a home opener against our division rival was pretty character defining. But this would be a huge win against a quality team. Also a pretty good gauge at how realistically good we are. They're potentially peers. Not to mention I would love getting revenge on a team that has given us some very tough losses.

I just hope they don't come out so fired up that they play undisciplined on defense. If they do, the Texans' running game will gash us with big plays. Character = doing your job, not trying to be a hero.

It will be another tough test for the defense
You beat the Texans you stay relevant
Lose to the Texans then the browns really is a must win to save the season..
falling to 0-2 the dolphins will need miraculous wins
in middle and end of schedule like the regimes 1st year to have a chance.

I uttered the exact words in your thread title after EVERY home loss last year.

And if they lose this game, the season is OVER, and it's time to blow this team up...again.

got news. it was time after last year. ross had it right. just didnt get his man unfortunately. and with the lockout looming sparano got a pass. it wont happen this offseason. i love the new offensive approach. u must play to win. i dont know how it took 4 years for sparano to realize this (sign of a poor head coach btw). they must get their thinking about short yardage and red zone corrected. dont understand why we continue to have poor coaching in these situations. same choices etc weve had for 4 years now. even with a new coordinator.

this team has talent, but u simply cant lose that opening game. there are no moral victories. and i hate to say it but new york can find a way to beat new england, and we have just as much talent top to bottom as they do. so no excuses. no oh they have brady bull****. or whatever. if sparanos a good coach that team has to be prepared to win. they werent.
