Any time Miami and Buffalo hook up for a game, it seems to have playoff atmosphere. These teams don't like each other and it's a complete clash of differnt climates and life styles. Tomorrow's game has some very interesting matchups and I want to take a look at 3 of them.

1.) J.P Losman vs. Miami Secondary-
Losman has been playing pretty well in the second half of the season and has all but secured his QB job for next season. The weather should be fair and will allow Losman to throw the football. Miami has one of the strongest pass rushes and one of the best run defenses in football, so I believe Losman will have to beat this team through the air. Losman has great escape ability but will have a tougher time stretching the pocket against a pretty quick front line of Miami. Losman's favorite target is Lee Evans who has hit several homeruns this season. I look for the strong and speedy Will Allen to be bumping Evans off the line and trying to lock him down before he can get downfield. This also helps the run game as Allen will be in position to make a play on the outside. No other Buffalo receiver really scares me so I think we just match our 2 with their 2, our 3 with theres and so on. Miami also needs to make sure we don't let Roscoe Parrish get free from that slot position and the Dolphins better make sure they don't allow a linebacker on Parrish.

I give this matchup to the Miami secondary

2.) Sammy Morris vs. Buffalo run D-
Buffalo doesn't stop the run well, at all. In the September matchup in Miami, Ronnie Brown has a good YPC average but the Dolphins abonded the run early. Sammy Morris has ran pretty well in Ronnie's absence and has been able to secure the ball cutting down his fumbles. Takeo Spikes has been a huge part of the Buffalo defense and he will play despite leaving last week's game with a leg injury. Aaron Schobel has been rushing the passer well all year but I'm not very confident in his ability to shed or take on blockers against the run. Jacksonville shut down Morris, but he ran ramped on New England. My prediction;

Morris never really gets going, but Miami can maintain a running attack. I'll give the edge to Buffalo.

3.) Chris Chambers vs. Nate Clements-
Last December, Chambers had the best game a Miami receiver has ever seen. 15 catches, 238 yards and a game winning TD catch in the final seconds. Chambers ran over, under neath and all over Clements all day long. Earlier this season, Chambers caught a TD pass but for the most part, was silent. It has been a tough season for Chambers who has struggled through 2 more quarterbacks, another offensive coordinator and poor passing accuracy down field. I see Chambers succeeding underneath for the first time this season. Clements should be backing off Chambers allowing a nice cushion for Chris to get free on. Clements could be on his way out of Buffalo after this season and Chambers may help his decision to leave western New York.

I believe Chambers enjoys a 100 yard day and beats Clements early and often in this one.

So those are my 3 key matchups I look out. I know there is a matter of Willis McGahee going up against the Miami run D, but I don't think that is the one that will settle the game. It's power against power and if Buffalo wants to win, they will have to be effective in the passing game. Should be a great game, and nothing is better than beating Buffalo.

Good analysis...if the run defense is like the colts' then i would choose morris

Booker has a better chance getting another 100 yard game and the advantage definitly goes with Morris against Buffalo's horrible run "D".

I agree with you about Miami's secondary defendin well against Losman and his recieving. That is in major part to the crazy pressure Losman will be feeling by Miami's D-line.

I do think Sammy Morris will have a big game. Bills Run D is at the bottom of the NFL.

I see this EVERY week about Chambers having a breakout game. If there is any week that he definitely wont have that breakout game, it would be this game. Nate Clements is a great CB. That plus the fact that Harrington sparingly throws the deep ball will show that Chambers probably wont have much impact on this game other than being the usual decoy for guys like Welker and more importantly Booker. I do see Booker having a nice contribution with him going against undersized Terrence Mcgee (5'9, 195 lb) and even Hagan, if he plays some, I can see him contributing.
Bills LB crew can be penetrated with injuries and their secondary is filled with two rookies so hopefully we can go deep to Booker.

I'm with you man! Seems like he just typed this all up to talk up his boy Chambers and take shots at Sammy Morris even though Booker has been the standout as of late.

I predict both Morris and Booker have a big day tommorow!

Okay, you hate Chambers. WE GET IT! Just get off it. What shots did I take at Morris? I just think we will pass to beat the Bills tomorrow. I have nothing against Morris, I just don't think he can string together back to back 100 yard games.

EDIT: Yeah, I guess it is crazy to think that Chambers will have a big day. He never did break Dolphin records against Clements or anything like that.

Eh? I don't hate Chambers at all I think he's a great guy off the field very respectable person with great character. His performance on the field leaves alot to be desired though it's as simple as that.

And I think Morris will have another 100 yard day tommorow. Your welcome to take your shots and say he will be ineffective just as I am to support him and hope for him to have a 100 Yard day!

JT making impact plays vs.their pass protection will be key. Take pressure off of Joey H. by pounding the rock with Morris and without TOs we win. Losman is good for at least a couple of mistakes; bad throws that otherwise should be completions, INTs, poor decisions leading to sacks etc. Agreed that Booker most probably makes a good impact. I like us vs. them in all matchups. We are the better team and if we had showed up mentally and were playing like we have as of late (Jags game not included) last time we played them would have won. As far as playoff atmosphere; heck its against the *(&*__*& Bills at their place. Always a playoff atmosphere when we go up against them.

GO DOLPHINS
BEAT THE BILLS!!!

To me the key matchup is the Bill's O-line versus Jason Taylor....big advantage to JT.

Now that is a matchup to watch! Losman is a totally different Qb when he's rattled and if JT get's the pressure on him look for a fun filled day of fumbles and INT's from Losman

We all know JTs hate for the city of Buffalo. Not to mention he was held sackless for the first game vs. the Jills and should be ready to make some plays and get out of antartica tomorrow. Remember, the only good thing about Buffalo, is the wings!

I heard somewhere that in 17 games against the Bills JT has 15 sacks.

They really don't have anyone that can consistantly matchup against him and shut him down. I expect him to get AT LEAST one sack tomorrow and cause a turnover. (Weather it's forcing another fumble or hurrying the QB forcing an interception.)

There is one matchup that I have become aware of that worries me today. Damion Mcintosh against Aarron Scheobel. If Mac plays like he did against the Jags, JH could be in trouble with the crowd noise.

Dude, why so harsh?

I think the guy makes valid points and Chambers burned Clements last season so it's not unbelievable to think he can do it again, don't you think Saban (and mularkey) remembers that game? Maybe they go after Clements early and often, makes sense to me.
