I actually already have XM :( I got it before Sirius started carrying football. Dont get me wrong, I love it, but I wouldve gotten sirius if I knew they would have the games.

Absolutely rules. Only thing that sucks is getting no reception at the office, hence no ability to listen to any of the talk channels at work. I listen to the music channels all day though on the internet. They apparently don't have the bandwidth to allow access to the talk channels via the internet. I was told they should have that ironed out this fall.

I think it's $12.95 per month. They give you a break if you subscribe long term.

i think they'll carry nascar next year. i know they now have the rights over XM.

basically sirius has EVERY SPORT including Stern in January except MLB.

When I say every sport I mean, NFL, NBA, NHL, English Soccer, Wimbledon, Nascar soon, etc.

I bought the "lifetime of the radio" subscription plan which is $500 plus the cost of the radio. But you can now transfer it up to 3 times to other radios for $75 fee if your radio dies when it past warrenty.

as far as getting reception it really depends where you are. if you are in a major city you should be able to pickup a good signal wherever you are since there are signal repeaters on the ground. (i'm in philly with my antenna 30' from a window and i get full reception.) however, if youi are out in the boonies you will need to put the antenna either outside or near a window.

its nice cause you either hear it perfectly or not at all. there is no staticy sound when it's struggling to come in.

it's a fantastic product. i usually listen to maxim radio all day at work with a little bit of NFL radio. Thats right I said NFL radio. A 24 non-stop NFL talk radio. It's fantastic.

You can try out NFL Field Pass for free. If you just want it for this last preseason game you can cancel it within 7 days and it won't cost you anything. You still have to give a cc#, but they won't charge it until that 7 days is up. Hope this gives you at least a small fix.;)
beware of this people , ive heard multiple accounts of people getting charged even after cancelling service.

I guess the Daytona Beach area is the boonies compared to Philly.

the nfl field pass wasnt worth it for me. i will only miss 2 preseason games, rest were on tv. i dont need the field pass for regular season. so the nfl isnt going to take my money for their strong arm operation on radio air waves.

We'll have to scour tonight. If anyone finds one. go on the official game thread and let us know!

yeah , whats next pay per-view nfl games.

I believe this will happen eventually....Monday Night Football moving to Cable tv is just the beginning...In 10 years everyone will be paying to watch the NFL...Just wait and see.
