Do you guys think tony bua would be a goodfit at free safety i mean he has decent speed i heard(i know hes faster than brock marion or sammy knight was)and he is a knockout hitter, which i love,,,,but do you guys think he would be better than tillman at fs?

I think he is the next Izzo, a special teams demon and a fill in on defence, I don't see him starting!

More of a SS. Wanny even mentioned moving him to LB, but I think he will just be a special teams stud.

He was a LB under Wanny.

The ESPN game had him at SS and I remember that when he was drafted he was listed as a LB so I have no idea what position he is supposed to play. I do know that he can really lay into somebody and it will be a long time before I forget that hit he put on that Ram.

yes that was one of the plays of the year when he hit bryce fisher, we havent had a hardnose hitter like him in along time,,but with channing crowder now in the picture i think he will primarily be used for ST,,

But who do you think is better Bua or Tillman at fs?

I think Tillman is better at FS. Bua is more of a SS but I think he's even too slow for that.

Definitely not an FS (for range reasons)... But lets not jump the gun on him possibly being a SS. Harrison isnt a burner by any stretch of the imagination, but he's the prototype at his positions in terms of big-hitting, leadership, and clutch play. Lets give BUA a chance and not relegate him forever to ST status without giving him a shot!

Do you think this is where Wannstead got his ideas from? He'd come to finheaven.com and ask random questions about if player A or player B could or should play in position x, y, or z? From some of the plays we ran, it sure looked like it.

He is a special teams player.

If he had to start anywhere it'd be at SS... but, personally, I hope he never has to start a game.

Bua is a little too big and not enough speed to be the SS or FS....have him on special teams and come in to backup at LB as needed.
