Last I heard he was on the Cowboys practice squad. Man, I wished we would have kept him. he was an intense player. I still remember the hit on the Rams special teams.

I agree Bua had a motor that wouldn't quit. I just think with Nick, he likes his players to be so versatile that he couldn't see Bua being anything other than a ST player. I don't think he trusted him at LB or Safety or elsewhere on the field. I know alot of people feel the same way about Minor, but I think Nick has a trust in Minor and feels he gives you a good ST player along with an emergency RB and Kick Returner if needed... I could so see Bua being a Larry Izzo/Billy Bates type though if only used on Special Teams...

that hit was something else, especially with the season we were having it was a bright spot, good luck to him, would of been nice to keep him

Yea Bua was great on special teams, but unlike Izzo, Gilmore, Minor, Wooden, Hendricks and all these other Dolphins, Bua had no spot on the field, he was strictly special teams, and with this 53 man roster and the amount of injuries now a days, its hard to have a guy strictly special teams, damn near impossible.

He will always be remembered for that hit tho.

Tony Bua is on Cincinnati Bengals squad. He's listed as a strong safety.

Why was everyone so high on Bua? Yeah, the guy had the heart of a lion, but he was WAY too small to play linebacker and too slow and couldn't pick up the finer points of being a safety. He made a great hit against the Rams on special teams, but that is his NFL highlight. I'd rather have a guy that can actually contribute more than making a special teams tackle and can actually be a legitimate backup at a skill position.
