Outside of football, Dungy is a devout Christian who has campaigned against gay marriage. And I'll leave the rest for the left/right cheerleaders on the POFO.

Huh? What do his personal convictions about gay marriage have to do with him helping our team become better? People that are for this and people who are against this have the same rights to be good people who make good football decisions.

Pretty much, but I know that some people really detest Tony Dungy because of that. And I really don't want to dive into that kind of debate.

Both Tony Dungy and Joe Philbin tragically lost teenage sons in recent years. Both are high character guys. I would not be surprised if there is a connection between these guys and their wives outside of football.

He has been consistently praising the team all season. Makes me wonder if there could be something going on behind the scenes at high levels. Could he be in line for an executive position with the team? I think he and Philbin would be a great pairing at first glance.
This is just wild speculation though..

Give him Parcell's old position...respect him a lot more then that overrated smelly tuna.
