Hypothetical of course.

If KC decided to part ways with Tony to get younger this off season could the Phins benefit by bringing him in to teach and compliment the younger TE’s?

My thought is he is probably the greatest TE to ever play at this point in time, he is an outstanding individual off the field and even thou the Dolphins are getting younger (good thing) a couple of older veterans sprinkled in the mix is always good for mentor purposes. Obviously it would be a trade since he is signed until 2012 with KC.

Just food for debate to kill some of the bye week time.

I can't see him wanting to come here. We have a great organization and all, but if he leaves KC, he's going to want to go hard after a ring. We're not that team, yet...

If Fasano continues playing like he is... 92% catch rate, 150 yards receiving in 2 games... then I see no reason to bring anyone else in... not even a Tony Gonzales.

And dont forget 2 tds:up:

He said he would retire after this season, he wants to spend time with his family.

To be accurate here,

Anthony Fasano is the 7th leading tight end in the nfl in yardage, and out of the top 10 he is one of three tight ends that have multipel touchdown catches.

In the AFC:

He is the third leading tight end in Yardage and is ahead of players like Antonio Gates.

Notable mention:

David Martin is the 9th leading tight end in the AFC.

Yes Fasano is producing nicely. Let us hope that trend continues all season. I really hope one of the young receivers is next in line to step up.

I sure hope to see more passes thrown to our te's because that will help us alot. Fasino may be our 2nd best offensive player.

If you bring him in, you take up a roster spot for a player that you can develop and produce in the future...that is more important than getting instant satisfaction....NO!!! Don't get him...

NO. Fasano was bought here for a reason. He's proving to be a great offensive weapon, and someone that may be for for quite a while.

I'd rather have an experienced WR than TG.

we don't need him and even if we did he's too old. would gonzalez bring us any closer to a super bowl? nope.

honestly i can see him retiring in KC

I knew this was coming. I knew it. I knew someone(at least one person if not 50 on here) couldnt resist posting about Tony Gonzalez.

Tony Gonzalez is a great player.

Having said that, WHY in the HELL would we trade a draft pick for Tony Gonzalez????? I mean seriously people. Do I really need to post the factors that make this a guarentee not to happen. Nothing to debate about here. Its not food. There are 1000 other things you couldve posted about for people to snack on during the bye week. Even another Beck thread would be better than utter nonsense. Where's Greyboy??
