Tony Pape Unretires, Back With Dolphins

Well, he has some prospect of making the team. Michigan OLmen are pretty decent in the NFL. Plus, we're weak at OT and he's at worst practice squad.

Great...good for him. Hope something comes out of it for him.

lets hope hes one of them

I hope he at least is backup tackle.... maybe starting if he gives his all

I doubt he makes the team, but I'll be pulling for him. He screwed up bigtime last year (just as big as Ricky Williams if you think about it), but he realized his error and will probably put in 110% to try to atone.

sorry, a bit unfamilar with pape, anyone have a scouting report? or draft prospectus?

I think Pape has masses of upside. He had a great NFLEL season last year.

as a michigan fan i can tell you he started at left tackle for 4 years at michigan( something that rarely happens) and he was a beast. i was really dissappointed last year when he retired but i kinda figure i hadnt seen the last of him. if he plays hard he will make the team

thanks for the info

When he was drafted in '04 he was listed in most draft guides as 2-4 round talent. We got himin the sixth round. He had slipped, it was said at the time if I remember, because he was a bit slow of foot and didn't react quickly enough. Wise had him practicing at LT, RT, and G. Last season he was all NFLE and was rated, pre-camp, by a number of writers as having a legimate shot at being depth for Oline.

With us only having four of last year's rookie linemen to back up the five veterans we have and one of those rookies, Orrin Thompson, being a guy who can't break the starting line-up of NFLE, I think Pape will have a very good chance, especially under Houck, to make the team and contribute.

I thought he was drafted in the 7th round? Orin Thompson is project, if I'm not mistaken he was a DT in college and Saban moved him to O-line.
